I'm sorry I missed it; and I'm even more sorry that I missed Tony, I would have loved to see him.
But it was worth not being there. I went up to Hills and got dyno tuned; 318hp and 265ft-lbs of torque!! Oh Yeah!! :happydance:

Nice! You got it done at Hill's Garage?

shadoquad 08-23-2011 10:21 AM

I just ordered new rear rubber for Chiana.

15,700 miles and the stockers are down to the tread life indicators. :p

Red__Zed 08-23-2011 10:25 AM

I'm out this week guys. I'll be up the 24th though

Red__Zed 08-23-2011 10:34 AM

I'm ordering the same Yokie Advans. I actually really liked them from the beginning. Eventually, I want wider rims/tires, but for now, I'll just load em up with the stockers again. Car handles like it's on rails imo.

Cool

been thinking about tires lately. the stock Potenza's wet traction is not that great. i may go with the Michelin pilot super sports. heard they perform better under wet conditions plus decent thread wear.

shadoquad 08-23-2011 11:24 AM

Ah. Yeah, I try to avoid wet, especially during cold.

You should get them a little wider, it will probably help a little bit. You can definitely get 245's for the front and 265's for the rear. I have 245 for my front tires if you want to see how wide those are on the 18's.

I actually want to see how 245's look on the front 18's... will you be at the next MD meet? What size did you go for the rear this time around? Wonder if 275's would be ok on the 18's rear.

Yeah since Dan isn't coming to VA, I will be at the MD meet this Saturday. I didn't need rear tires, only fronts. When I do need rear tires, probably some time near the end of the year, I will be getting 275's. There are some people on here who run them and say they fit ok.

This is from my All Season tire thread.

It's gonna be staggered no matter what you do. The wheel width for the back tires are different from the front. Go with 245's up front (fits perfectly) and 275's in the back (slight bulge, but looks pretty good). I have that setup on the same wheels as yours.
