So, I drove Chiana for 8 hours today, starting my day exploring the back roads around Frederick, MD, on the advice of a friend. Some were terrific, some were not really suitable for a motor vehicle (hello unpaved one-lane street with steep hills and deep shoulders). I also went up to Thurmont to check out Cunningham Falls Park and Catoctin Mtn Park. While scenic, those roads are really not as suitable for play. Thurmont was pretty and nice, though. Frederick was fantastic, though. Nice people, great roads, even found an import tuning shop with a bunch of RX-7's and Z's.

Anyway, from there, I cut my way across Taneytown and Hampstead to go to Pretty Boy, where I stopped for some quick photos by the Dam.

I stopped by the Ztuners meet for a minute to introduce myself, and then raised some hell at Loch Raven before heading home.

I've got to sit down and work it out. My buddy Huey gave me a route around Frederick. I have to rework it to exclude some of the less z-friendly roads, but I think I've got us a good route now.

Wow your car looks clean in those photos you must have had the dirt filter enabled in the camera... I saw you at the mdZtuners and it needed a bath badly!!!

Saw the other supercharged z in this area. Glad I did not go through everything he did...

Nope, that's her all covered in pollen and dirt. I guess the combo of crummy iPhone cam plus slightly overcast conditions equals pretty?

Kirkster 06-26-2011 08:53 AM

Or at least it does not show the dirt.

Seems like a nice drive, Al. I spent yesterday in Richmond with my sister's car (2010 Escape)... Boy it is nice to drive a regular car with an automatic from time to time!

New Z wheels

Im looking at HD's Autobahn 2 tone for my 18x8 and 18x9's stock. These rims only come in 18x8 size . How would this affect looks and performance? Thanks

Wrong Thread. Please repost in the "Mid-A Epic Randomness Thread!"

Never go with narrower wheels in the rear.... you should be looking at minimum of 18X9 in the front and 18X10 or 11 in the rear...
