More like a Mecum type. You can clearly see some dents in the front of the Charger. These guys do restoration and consignment sales I believe. They have a huge shop across the road where they do work to get cars ready for sales. It was cool just to walk around all the classic muscle. The prices aren't too unreasonable for someone who wanted to buy a car they could drive and keep that was in very nice condition.

Yeah these cars wouldn't win any concourse shows but they all appeared to be nice drive-able specimens. You either buy them and drive as-is or you work on them some more to bring them up to as high a standard as you wish.

Turns out the orange '67 I was looking at was indeed a 350 V8, so if I had $27k laying around I could have picked it up. IMO that was the highest quality Camaro they had there.

It was nice to meet you guys today and I hope to meet the rest of you soon. I was looking forward to seeing your Z's, but I guess I'll see them next time. I do have a favor to ask, which I forgot about earlier today. I'm trying to find a set of the Rays Sport wheels for my car, but I want something I can pick up locally. A bunch of my friends want to get together and buy them for my birthday, which is on Thursday, but I can't seem to find any in the area. If anyone is selling or knows someone who is selling a set, please let me know. I can come get them at/after one of our Saturday meets. I posted a thread in the Wanted section of the Marketplace, but haven't found anything. Thanks for the help!

It was nice meeting you too. Too bad we had such a small turnout. I know as the weather warms up we really start to get some nice crowds. I'll keep an eye out for any Rays that pop up for sale and let you know.

Sorry I missed out, you guys. Been sick all week, and I needed the rest.

m4a1mustang 01-29-2011 11:13 PM

Sucks for you, Al. If you had showed up I would have bought you the car of your choice. Just that one time ever. Ah well. :p

Hope you feel better, bud.

Sorry to hear that man. Hopefully we get some decent weather in VA for the meet next weekend in Fairfax!

The pics of the cars are sweet! I can only imagine that it was 10Xs better.
Can't wait for dry pavement.

Even if Shiro Ze would come out of the garage, going up the grade to Braddock would be impossible with the snow covered street.

Til next time :tiphat:

could have finally gotten the pink Smart Fortwo of my dreams

If the weather holds, I'll be in NY next weekend. So, best I can do is the next MD meet.

Good times on Saturday Jon! We were about 10 mins from Brown's and there was a 6th Gen Maxima that floored it past me with big ole rims and chrome everywhere. Guess he thought he smoked me bigtime (was half expecting the hazard light flash) :roflpuke2::bowrofl:

Yeah, Maryland is an interesting place to say the least when it comes to people and their cars and the way they drive. Glad you could come up and that you enjoyed the cars. I got a kick out of them.

Just remember Kirk, it could be worse. You could be stuck in Cairo!
