this is the plastic bag that was causing all the trouble...somehow it managed to rip into the filter and get stuck.... also my car runs fine after i took it out, but nissan still wants me to pay about 1100$ to fix it. so just incase something might be wrong, i towed the car to AAM to check it out, and do some quick fixes.

Amar, thanks for sharing the pictures and information. Very insightful.

I'll read back and see which dealer you were working with, to make sure I dont go there :)

I have seen some people's car with two intakes... but I havent' really look under my hood even to see whats in there... but the point was that with two intakes maybe it shouldn't have blocked all the air like that... dont know. I'll take a look under my hood one of these days. Can also be one intake per side of the engine (3 cyls).

By the way, AutoZone, Advanced Auto Parts, Pep Boys, all sell air filters. You could call around and see if they have the filter for it in stock.

In regards to the sensor... if the engine light is not on, then it should be ok.

thanks frank, but AAM will get me a replacement filter :)...

Here is a birds eye view of where the Starbucks is in the Bowie Town Center and the area we could park in. I'd think that at 10AM there will be plenty of parking in the Longhorn Steakhouse parking lot. We can always move if need be, the place is large.

Kirk, Al, Frank, Amar, Lance...Pat and I had a nice time today. The weather was about as nice as one could ask for and the Misfit Red was mighty tasty indeed!
