Yeah, and you'll never have to think twice about oil temp because it will always be good to go. You may need to think as winter approaches though about a blocking plate as the temps may not rise enough in the cold.

So Brian, when you going to buy a trailer and tow that Z to the coffee meets. It'll save you from putting any more miles on it than necessary?

I asked them about that and their opinion was as long as the car is started and lubricated (e.g. warm up just enough for the RPM's to drop) that it shouldn't matter as the oil is very lightweight.

We'll see how it does though...

Meh, just make sure the oil temp is above 180 before any high revving shenanigans. If you have trouble reaching 180 in the winter you'll need to fashion a partial cover out of sheet metal.

Yeah, thats the way I see it as well. My temps are regularly at 180. So as it gets cooler it will be interesting to see how it turns out. I'm not too worried though.

m4a1mustang 10-14-2010 04:06 PM

If you are at 180 now it's definitely going to be too cool in the winter. We'll need to fab up a quick cover for some of the rows for winter time.
