so, version 9.2 of our application
is going live this weekend.
its a 16 hour mess encompassing a
mainframe, DB2, IMS, ORACLE databases
30 application servers, 10 web servers,
etc... there is a slight chance i may
not be able to make it, if things
dont go well.

But dont celebrate just yet.

also, i have a friend of mine from
work that wants to join us.

he drives some imported car with a 4
cylinder and a super charger that
does 300hp.

virtual machines?? zero! we are so lame... our application is entirely based on a mainframe...

I set them up with all vmware environments for their non-core stuff (like conference room reservation). But our office culture wouldn't allow it for the applications running at the datacenter.

I run vmware at home, and wouldn't have it any other way.

How about your setup?
