Haha when you walked away from the group I thought you were just snapping pictures!

SigPapa226 01-23-2010 09:08 PM

Looks great guys. I hope to join you in April. The roadster is garaged until after the last snow and a couple of heavy rains to wash the salt away.

You're more than welcome to come to any of our gatherings sans Z!

Yeah, I was stealth video taping! Hopefuly, those new Z owners in VA, MD, (Mid-Atlantic) area will see that we have a group and I'm certain that as the weather begins to warm up in spring we'll have more coming.

As Steve said, you're welcome to join us anytime with or without the Z. I've been keeping mine in storage after that last big snow we had, but when the weather is nice out and the roads are clear, I gotta get out on the road!

Almost showed up...

....followed the thread but couldn't drag my lazy (and old) @$$ out of bed in time to make it down to S'Bucks Sat morning -- will definitely make the next get together so the "Rag Top'ers" can be represented....<grin>

Thanks for the vids guys.

Well I will be out there this Saturday morning to get a start on the day. Assuming my Redline shipment comes in I'll be changing oil, trans fluid, and putting some new pads in after I get my morning Mocha fix.

Maybe that chick in the white Z will show up -- I didn't see her this last time.

70 percent chance of snow Saturday....ARGHH!!

m4a1mustang 01-27-2010 06:43 PM

Damn! Well I am still planning on going until further notice. I guess I'll see what the weather looks like on Friday.

m4a1mustang 01-29-2010 09:27 AM

Alright, I am going to call this one off due to weather. It looks like most of the snow won't be until the afternoon, but I don't think any of us should risk getting caught out in it.

ZCarMan 01-29-2010 03:14 PM

Unfortunately I must agree. They are saying five inches in my area so I certainly won't be out on the roads with the Z tomorrow. I'll shoot for next weekend same time, place.

So how much did you get? They were calling for "just 1-2 inches" here in the Baltimore metro area, I easily have 6+ on the ground, effectively turning my Z into a snowplow (really a garage queen at this point).

Edit: Nevermind, saw your other post, 10" in Stafford. Sometimes I wish I was a weatherforecaster, I don't think any other "professional" can be as blatently wrong so frequently and remain gainfully employed.

SigPapa226 01-30-2010 05:51 PM

I think we got about 5 - 6 inches in Fairfax

Sig... what color is your 300ZX? I remember seeing one with aftermarket exhaust (quad tips) driving in Fair Lakes last summer.

Black TT with stock wheels. I installed a Megan CBE about a year ago.

.... not quad tips though.

m4a1mustang 01-30-2010 07:37 PM

Haha I totally missed that in your sig. Owned.

SigPapa226 01-30-2010 07:44 PM

No worries. When the snow is gone I'll bring it out one Saturday morning for a meet.

getawaydriver 01-30-2010 10:58 PM

New owner and definitely want to bring her out. Hell if it was going to be today though =D

Next "nice" weekend we, I will be out there with her. We need to hit up some roads and add some mileage (still breaking in).

I know a few good roads off 66 from back in the day.

Will subscribe to this thread. Let us know when the next meet occurs.

Will do. You can pretty much count on at least one of us being out there on any given Sunday (Jon -- ZCarMan -- tries to make it out every weekend).

We will also be having some more "involved" meets as the weather improves. We had a meet out in Annapolis last fall for dinner at Gordon Biersch. Jon is going to be working up details for the next one, which I believe is going to be at Sakura just around the bend from our usual meeting spot.

I'll let everyone know when I have something firm for a date. I'm planning a wedding and will be in Vegas the weekend of Valentine's Day so maybe we can plan a dinner at Sakura the following Friday or Saturday night? What say you all? Let me know and I'll work on it. This damn snow is for the birds! Now I hear that next weekend might be more...UGHH!!

Official Saturday meet thread thanks to AK: http://www.the370z.com/mid-atlantic-...rday-10am.html

If you want to go ahead and start a feeler thread to figure out what date we should choose. I can do Friday nights if they are late enough (I get home from work around 6:30).

Also, I think we'll definitely need a firm headcount for Sakura because I'm pretty sure they're going to want us to make reservations.
