I’ll always be of the opinion that value wise, headache wise, etc, modding a factory fi’d car is always the smarter move vs going fi on an na car. At Msrp, I don’t think there’s a value issue...

Think about the backlash that the Supra got for being AT only… and that had a fantastic ZF 8 speed transmission! Compare that to the AT in the Z and it’s not even same league. If the new Z had the ZF...

that sounds like could be your AC compressor clutch that seized up. The compressor is on the side of the engine. That would explain why the AC went out as well. Good luck
