So, it drives like crap but at least it looks good? (if you like that kind of thing)

gurneyeagle 11-15-2014 08:27 AM

Very clean, very nice build - cohesive and well executed.

I'm not a fan of the stanced look, but you didn't build your car to satisfy me or anyone else. The important thing is that you are happy and proud of your work.

Let's take a step back from the stanced debate. It's a style; just not everyone's cup of tea.

Here's an analogy I use - look at the way the original hot rodders were regarded back in the 50's. This is no different. Those cars weren't necessarily practical either. But practicality is defined by how the owner chooses to use his car.

If we all drove the same car, things would be pretty boring. Some guys push things to the extreme (many times on purpose), so just sit back and enjoy the entertainment factor. No one is forcing their personal taste on you.

Respect and embrace!

Awesome video and pictures. I'm just jealous that I can't lower my car due to the tortured landscape that is down town Houston. :ugh2:

I liked the vid, especially the tiny tail slide at the end.

JC-Nismo 11-15-2014 04:59 PM

Love the video, what exhaust are you running, it sounds great and love the spinout at the end...........EPIC!!!

Yes exactly! I went through 4 different exhausts to find the loudest non raspy setup and this was definitely the best sounding.

Lowbz21 04-19-2015 09:40 AM

Went a different route with my new wheel setup. I custom built these OZ Superleggera 3s, they started out as flat lip 19x8 and 19x9.5 now they are 20x11 and 20x12 with step lips. The lips are brushed with a clear powdercoat, the faces are brushed with anodized silver on the inserts with titanium bolts, and the inner barrels are powdercoated satin black. They weigh less than the stock rays.

How many inches are you lowered and is your motordyne a hassle to drive?

Does this setup have no rasp or is it minimal? Also how loud is it on low rpms? I plan on getting motordyne E370 but debating between your setup or art pipes...
Help me out! :(

I love my exhaust setup, I couldn't be happier with it. My specific car has no rasp at all, I can't speak for every car with this setup but go with invidia. It's a lot cheaper and you won't lose any volume. And I'm not exactly sure how many inches I'm lowered, but it's definitely too low lol.

Everyone who has motordyne is in love with their exhaust lol. Guess theres a reason! And sorry to bug you but is it loud on low rpms? What worries me is that it will be too quiet between 1-3k rpms and wont be heard cruising around town.

ufoz8mycow 04-19-2015 11:46 AM

I like the new OZ wheels 1000x more than the old ones. Good job!

Yeah it's pretty loud for low rpms, the only thing that was louder was my meisterschaft with invidia test pipes and that was crazy raspy.

I can't stand the stance thing, i am so disgruntled i chose to live the anti stance lifestyle by driving a POS.

The first time i seen "hellaflush" i thought that the cars suspension gave out, so being a good samaritan i though i would warn the driver and let him know that his suspension had a catastrophic failure. The driver of the other car shouted somethings and made some hand jesters that i did not expect.

If you're asking which ones it's a lathewerks knob and a b&m short shifter.
