I bought some years ago and am not sure what I did with them lol but most of the kits cause the hood to bulge and I am not okay with that.

Thanks for the info! No issues with the hood bulging? I will definitely have to do this.

Nope, no issues
You might also get away with a slightly weaker gas strut of 250 N coz my 350 N are on the powerful side

Car is looking really good!! I love that strut bar and the engine cover. You bought the strut bar off Wiggins I assume? He has some killer parts up for sale.

Thanks! Yea the strut bar and splitter came from wiggins. Also picked up the top secret floor mats he was selling.

I got hood struts from Z1 and no bulging, no problems.

Good to know. Seemed like every single kit was causing this for a while.

TerribleONE 03-24-2017 12:48 PM

Anyone going to this tomorrow?

I hadn't heard that. My only small beef with the Z1 struts is the hood doesn't open quite as much as I'd like it to. Not that it's bad, just less than stock and I seem to constantly have my head under there. If any if the others are different in that regard I couldn't say.

It looks absolutely fantastic on your PW car man!

Some day I hope. Unfortunately not until I'm certain I can sink the hook so far into the 9s that I never have to worry about turning another bolt again for a while.
