Would the extra tire not be any help or is that limited in the class you're running ? Also speaking of flush mine in the front is pretty damn flush but the rears with a little more drop could probably be aight with a 5mm or so.:driving:

Wow, sick wheels. Is there anyway that somebody could photo shop a couple of these pics to make the wheels flat black? I would really appreciate it.

The class Paul runs this car in is limited to 285mm or small er width tires.

Do you have any software with the ECU, can you log it or make adjustments yourself?

Extra tire is always nice but were, limited to 285' and the Hankooks RS-3's we run come in 265/285 combo which turned out to work perfect. Only other option would to run 285' square but I tend to prefer staggered set-up to help turn-in.

No additional software. You just let us know what mods you have or will have and Mine's will map for it. No wide/band or anything like that to make on the fly changes. This is just a clean plug and play hp.

I won't be, pretty bummed. I was just out their 2 weeks ago at streets for another TimeAttack Event with lots of local Redliner's running one of my other cars, But I'd love to see what sort of time the Z can get at Streets . I think it would feel pretty good out their. Keep me posted on how you guys do!

Recaro's are flat out awesome.

motoextreme 12-14-2009 08:49 PM

Last damn thing I need is seats but you definitely have my attention! All those Carbon seats in the GTR's during Fontana really caught my eye. Starting to hate this forum, its like a fat kid in a candy store HAHAHAHAHA...

On a serious note, what do you expect they will sell for including rails? Direct bolt on or new holes and welds? Last, only carbon/kevlar or available in straight carbon?

Wow these are nice, wonder if my big butt will fit in, suppose I could start running or wear a girdle :icon14:

travisjb 12-14-2009 09:22 PM

seats look great... from the pics, looks like you have passenger side on middle height and drivers side on higher mounting point... for the driver, what would you guess is the maximum driver height / torso length with a helmet in current position ? this car doesn't have much headroom to begin with, so just wondering if you think a 6ft driver with helmet would fit ??? and then, if i was right about being at the highest height setting currently, guess that means you can pick up 2-3" by dropping it down... thoughts?

motoextreme 12-14-2009 09:37 PM

Good point. Funny you mentioned that, I was sitting in my car this weekend thinking about if I could even fit in with my helmet or not. I'd love to gain a little more room if possible.

LoL, very good! :icon18:

Recaro Profi SPA's have been out for a few years now, and their the lightest of their kind at only 7.8lbs!
These are the same seats Power House Amuse runs as well as many other JDM tuning shops and GT cars.

But their ultra rare awesome-ness does come at a cost.

Your looking about $5500.00 for the pair w/ rails

But we do carry full line up of Bride, Recaro, and Sparco seats that I would be happy to match the perfect set-up for your application and budget.

Good Eye!

Both seats are actually set on the same height but since I'm not the tallest stud out their, I had to scoot the driver seat up a bit (works better than phone books :p ) and the passenger seat is all the way back. The rails are at a mild angle so with the driver seat forward it raises it a bit.

Head room wise, theirs a ton b/c the buckets are so deep.

I personally like to sit as low as possible to keep the weight low but if you notice in the side shot, if I lower the seat into the lowest hole the side bracket hits the side ring (hole) on the seat. So i need to mod it a bit to drop it lower, but right now it's pretty low, I'd say a good inch lower than stock.

Thanks again for the comments and stay tuned for more on project Z!!

Kastley85891 12-15-2009 03:02 PM

Sick seats - just great looking

motoextreme 12-15-2009 10:31 PM

They are pricey but I suppose that makes sense. I was guessing 2-3 grand but 5500..that's up there.

I'm going for Turbo or an SC next (once the bodyshop is done). Then brakes and coil overs. (may go brakes before anything). These would be last but at this pace it could be pretty soon.

I'll drop you a note when I'm ready man, thanks for thinking of us.

Minicobra1 12-16-2009 05:25 AM

Wow, this car is coming along great, in for future updates
PM me a price on your oil cooler installed, I'm in Brea also.

If your going Forced Induction, I can't stress enough that you will need our oil cooler kit. Any other one wont be enough!

Seat wise, their are several other options that are much more practical and less expensive for a Daily driver or weekend ride.

Can you send me the installed price too. I'm really thinking about doing more and more track events. Wasn't going to but it sounds like a blast so may as well do it right!

I'll keep that cool black A&E plate on the back if it earns me a discount :ughdance: I usually wait a while before running plates anyway, use the ol...lost in the mail excuse. Car looses its NEW CAR feel as soon as the dogtags get screwed on.

Thank you guys.

370zForever 01-30-2010 03:10 PM

What's up Paul,

Can you give me some info on wheel fitments because I'm getting 18" volk ce28n (18 x 8.5 in front and 18 x 9.5 in rear), so your wheels are similar so I was wondering what is the best offset for front and rear wheels and tire size....

Oh and one other thing... I'm currently running with H&R's spacers 15mm in front and 20mm in rear, so will that have an issue with this setup??

Paul@AEperformance 03-30-2010 06:58 PM

We have a extra set of CE's for sale, PM me if your interested.

Your going to need some serious spacer for the 8.5 / 9.5 combo

370zForever 04-13-2010 10:59 PM

Sorry to ask again, but what about your setup with the 18 x 9.5 and 18 x 10.5, would that need a spacer....I'm not interested in getting a spacer anymore, so I want to avoid it as much as possible

Im sorry for reviving an old subject.. But you mentioned that u saved 12 lbs OVER ur light weight ce28, and the new wheels weight 17.6 and 18 lbs, But I heard that the ce28 are already 18/19 lbs????

Paul@AEperformance 04-19-2010 06:51 PM

NP, but that was w/ Tires as well. Still very significant and very noticeable behind the wheel.

The CE's are about 2-2.5lbs heaver but that is also 18 vs. 19'

Paul@AEperformance 04-19-2010 07:09 PM

Looks Like were due for some more updates!

Just wanted to showcase our latest addition we ran at Round 1. Redline Time Attack.

OS Giken Super Lock LSD
http://blog.aeperformance.com/wp-con.../2010/04/1.jpg

This was a signifiant improvement over the OE LSD that began to slip once we went to wider / sticker meats in the rear.

On track the car's mid-low exit speed was night and day difference! I could plant the accelerator much sooner with no slip and more importantly no oversteer. The car just griped and lunged forward.

For anyone with extra HP and/or wider tires this is a must!

We are now prepping LSD packages that include the LSD, Fluid, Install and Supporting parts needed to complete the install on your 370Z

Call or PM for more info.

Stay tuned for more!!

:tiphat:

StealthZ 04-19-2010 07:14 PM

I had Weds wheels and Hankook RS-3s on my 350z, one of the nicest set ups ever. I love the wheels and hell everything you guys done to the car, and look forward to pickign up the OS Giken as well.
Can you guys PM on the pricing you could offer on the LSD?

gtkiller 08-04-2010 12:51 AM

This is one clean 370Z, when I first saw this car it made me wanna sell my EVO which I'm doing now. Hopefully I'll sell it soon so I can jump into a 370Z :)
