This has an intimidating look! Can't wait to see more.

Haven't seen your build since you cut the vents in your fender. You are one insane MoFo. Love the role cage. How much weight did it add?

Improving last front end cooling and stuff. Previously The radiator was slanted to the top mounting points on the bumper. This time I will be at around 15* slant to the lower bar section. Because the Nismo bumper has a smaller grille I'd like the rad to fill up the entire open space. 1inch square tube to save weight. Duct panels will be aluminum bent. The boxes on the left and right side are going to be carbon airboxes with carbon tubes running through the underside of the headlight since those will be just carbon covers and free up space. Air routes through naca ducts on the front bumper for those. Oil cooler won't sit there. Still deciding on where I want to mount it
If you couldn't tell I'm removing pretty much all of the stock core support and rad structure as possible for more room. Will be making my own strut bar for service-ability on trackhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...4af837d79e.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...8a9c6a6486.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...cf70b90359.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...4d8a0fb6d7.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...309bb009c5.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b1aa46cea7.jpg https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4214/3...cb3df645_b.jpg20170627_174055 by datsunpride, on Flickr |

GO KART mode for fun since this is the first time the car has run in 3-4 months. Felt good and I was driving it around the lot all day. No registration so couldn't go out and have some fun on the road :shakes head: Going to have to get used to that. Maybe I'll register it again one day....
Progress will unfortunately be slow. I am moving to Savannah, GA by end of August. |
I'm alive just not very active with the car until recently due to a move. Here's some stuff that I've been working on and I also remodeled some parts of the car. I am hoping to get myself a 3D scanner soon to scan the car and tailor my model to dimension and have someone mill out a mold or a plug from foam to make my parts from.
First photos just showcase me removing the crammed secondary firewall and wrinkle black front cover look. Trying to make everything super neat and tidy. Reason for removing that firewall mainly is to shed weight and transfer the power steering reservoir and coolant overflow to the passenger side. I would like to have as much weight behind the front axle to loosen up the front end up a bit. These things are so front heavy. So while I rewire the engine bay to have everything inside the car and remake brake lines, I can move components to replace those fuse boxes. And so much more room for activities! I can pull headers and transmission off in minutes! https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4528/...2fb18ca2_b.jpgIMG_2618 by datsunpride, on Flickr https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4570/...7b404189_b.jpgIMG_2616 by datsunpride, on Flickr https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4542/...99955e57_b.jpgIMG_2617 by datsunpride, on Flickr https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4558/...467fbd96_b.jpgNew3 by datsunpride, on Flickr https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4566/...72be4de5_b.jpgNew1 by datsunpride, on Flickr https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4524/...5ea980b2_b.jpg[url=https://flic.kr/p/21ofPR3] https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4538/...7c8f5639_b.jpgFront lip airfoil by datsunpride, on Flickr |
I like your concept bro! good luck building this project

Thanks Carlos.
Also I just finished up completely in the engine bay. So much space! This is probably the spacious and organized as you can get here in the bay with stock motor. I still have to get myself a reservoir for power steering and coolant, and start doing plumbing work. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4583/...6065512a_b.jpg20171113_140358 by datsunpride, on Flickr https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4533/...9f6f33f5_b.jpg20171113_140454 by datsunpride, on Flickr |
It looks like you working harder than Nissan on a 370z concept car! Amazing work my friend.
