Well everyone, I've added another car to my recently acquired Datsun 280Z. I had been doing some shopping and I was interested in an R35, M4, or M3. I couldn't get past the auto manual transmission of the R35 and M4. They weren't right for me. I liked the M3 in both the e92 and e46 body styles. But both cars felt very wrong to me.
It just so happens that a friend of mine had recently traded his car in for a 911 Carrera S. I knew the original owner and him as the second owner. I had seen the car a few times, knew it's history, and that it was extremely well taken care of. Unfortunately, it was tastefully modded with a lot of things I personally would have done. But, I'll be removing many of those mods to chase another dream on the car. And that dream is boost. I've got another Z34 and this time it's a Nismo model. 2009 Nissan 370Z Nismo #0483 in Pearl White :) |

I'll upload some soon along with my S30.

After speaking with the original two owners and looking at some things on the Nismo, I was able to figure out the modifications done to the car, along with its current power.
It's been uprev tuned and makes 320 whp and 270 ft lbs of torque. The tune was done before the switch to the FI exhaust, which I sold the last owner. He also purchased my old Avant Garde Wheels that were built for my last 370Z and put new pilot super sports on the rear, before he traded it in on a Carrera S. Nice find...:yum:

Not a bad find at all. I actually know both the prior owners. Car has about 18k in aftermarket parts and ingot it for 26k before tax and tags. It was hard to pass on.

Sweet!

Rip, I like your style! Almost like a new slate. I hope you go big on the BP kit. Your last car was sweet. This one will be sweet and sexy (er).

YzGyz, thanks. I really want to dedicate the nismo more to some racing. A nice boost in power and enjoy the car away from the show scene.
Spooler, yes it's a 1975 280Z 2+2. Full oem car that was babied and stored away for awhile. It was a lucky and rare rind. Most are rust buckets and you never see the 2+2. |
