More Carbon Fiber Added :)
Just installed the Seibon Hatch on the Z "going to install the Carbon Fiber Duck lip Spoiler on the new Hatch but need to drill holes". I posted some before and after pictures. The before pictures have the red hatch but have the spoiler I am adding to the new hatch.
Now I am thinking of just doing the entire car in CF lol Doors and Quarters remain. What do you guys think? Full Carbon Fiber or Leave Red on Doors/Quarter? I am trying to avoid painting the entire shell of car "engine bay, door jams and etc if i do full carbon fiber" lol that's why I am trying to see if the red works  NOW http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...ps7103cbfc.jpg http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...psbc2bfeea.jpg http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...psb2b95bda.jpg http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...pse8efa20d.jpg BEFORE http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...ps8422ddb1.jpg http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...psf3067eb2.jpg http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...ps927c9e5e.jpg http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...s4fedd0e3.jpeg http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...s74dbb33e.jpeg |
i would get the carbon doors too. also do they even make rear quarter panels in carbon fiber?
at least get the handles done in cf or shave them. then i think the red would look great
actually I recently found out Chris Forsberg Racing | The official web site of professional drifter Chris Forsberg. makes fiberglass and carbon fiber ones but I am trying to figure out how I want to install. If I cut the quarter panels then I will have to use rivets which I am trying to avoid. Other way, is to use them as an overlay which I am not sure about either.
The door handles might be shaved actually ;) |
i would deff do carbon doors with shaved handles it will look so damn clean.
Just finish her off. Carbon Fiber everything.
Yeah carbon everything it will flow better
Every thing carbon fiber!
That's alot of cf.
I say go all the way... didnt someone on here have this issue though before where he couldnt get the quarters in carbon? Youll have to just get them wrapped in carbon to match it lol
All CF please. :yum: Rear quarters are the problem for wide body too. To not have to paint engine bay, door jams and hatch area, do red accents where most people leave CF or black. Problem solved and it would look pretty sweet I think.
umm...YES...finish this b*tch!
You need to CF your door handles too |
I heard his toilet is CF
My vote, all CF!
that thing looks mean! i say, do carbon fiber. it looks incomplete if you leave red
:tup:Looks pretty mean to me... I like people who don't follow the heard... #original
Another vote for all CF
OMG! Just finish her off. CF everything. Looks so sick. Drool
And I would leave the door jams and engine bay red. Kinda flashy. |

:ninja3: The red makes it look incomplete, not the carbon  |
Carbon doors... Quarterpanels sound like they would be a headache....
Okay okay.... Carbon Fiber everything lol.. I guess it will match my all carbon fiber motorcycle lol. The quarter panels I have a few solutions for. Either buy Chris Forberg and rivet them in "which I do not want to do and would like to find out another method. Or buy them and use them as an overlay.
Id have to paint the jams because it would remind me of a hamburger with ketchup lol |
Only do the carbon doors if you don't drive on the street. I wouldn't want to bet my life that they would do squat in a side impact.
chuck makes a good point there... make sure the doors have the bars on the inside still if you are going to do that.
Also, off topic but i want to see the all carbon bike. Love bikes |
yea I hear that alot with CF doors. Its not a daily driver but I sure would hate it if I was involved in an accident :( Probably will do a cage build once I work on the supercharger this winter.
I've seen it recommended not to run CF doors unless you've got a cage with proper welded door bars. That may be overkill, but I'd hate to be wrong on something like that.

Wow, I had to step away from the computer for a minute, too much CF goodness in 2 pages. Beautiful work and another vote for going all the way. Painting the door jams etc black should do the trick. So mean
Side note, if you were ever to part out, it would be the most epic part out in the history of Part Outs lol. |
just get the weave and have a shop overlay it on the door and wuarter panel...like other have mention the doors aren't safe without a cage...
Just ordered the Carbon Fiber doors and they will be on the car around October 2nd ;)
Here are some pictures from the weekend :) http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...ps6189a96b.jpg http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...ps26af2cad.jpg http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...ps08c85023.jpg http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...psaa2395d3.jpg http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...psfb77fec0.jpg |
Your car seems to have stumbled upon a carbon fiber orgy. I approve.
I don't know what it is...I want to see this car completely in Carbon Fiber but I somewhat like the red from the door and rear panel.
I dunno, sort of a reminder of its original state blended in with the new...I'm torn lol. Either way, its sick! |
I'm not a fan of a lot of CF parts, but wow you have done it very very well, im feeling it buddy, great job!
Happy Modding Ernie |
Very nice. What about CF wheels?
sorry if this was asked earlier, but any idea how much weight you have shaved off if any?
not sure about weight but installing the Carbon Fiber Doors Tonight :) Also just installed a set of carbon fiber component speakers :P lol

How was your fitment with the aero jacket amuse kit? That is exactly what I want on my Z. The only part I may not get is the side skirts due to clearance issues with mechanical road blocks at work :/
