Guess I'm not that sensitive to it. I was on highway driving at various speeds last night and don't get drone at any of them. for me it's all about revs. 2000 rpm, foot down in 4, 5,6th gear will result in lots of drone/vibration. :icon17: earlier gears rev up quicker so it's not as a problematic.

Also, as a side note, I read your Mustang buying trip thread for the first time. Both that and Z ver 2 is awesome. I think I want to do a trip for my next car purchase Seems like its worth the drive. :)

My questions though, is that a bad break in for a car, to drive it for 900 miles at more or less constant highway speeds/rpms/gears?

I don't think it's bad for the car. They are pretty much broken in from the factory. I just make it a point to vary speeds for the first leg of the trip.

I have 1,500 miles on it now. Changing oil this weekend. Going with Mobil 0w40.

And yes, I enjoy a good road trip to buy a car. I love buying cars. It's fun. Especially when you can attach a story to them. If you check my S2000 thread, I have a blurb on what when down in the ghetto of Philadelphia when I bought it. :bowrofl:
