Car is coming along nicely and looks great Nick. Going to Pavilions this weekend? 1st time for me since last summer. Gotta show off the ride a couple of times a year. I haven't even driven my Z in a couple of weeks. Time to stretch it's legs... ;)

Yeah, I should be there this weekend! I plan on stopping by Russo & Steele and then heading to PAVs later on that night.

Lots of cars this past week. Barrett Jackson was awesome..

I look forward to meeting you and whoever else can make it out there SAT

Decided to change up the engine bay a little bit! I have a DIY too. Wrote down the steps..

Remove plastic piece thats hiding the two bolts near the windshield. Remove all bolts with 14mm Ratchet -

Clean with alcohol and sand if needed

Go to autozone and buy a can of primer for $3

Choose a color that you enjoy, spray paint over the primer, and there you go! Let it dry and install it back on. I went with chrome metallic blue just for a fun and exciting color under the hood.

Need some opinions guys!

I think I would be the first to throw these Borbet style 95 7 Series wheels on a 370..

Looking for honest answers haha - Oh, and before you judge. Seller is local and wants $650 obo - Comes with tires that have 80% tread...

I read that you need an adapter to change the lugs from a 5x120 to a 5x114? + $250

Total would be $900 -

Looks decent. I give it a 6/10.

Zdayz 2014!!

this is one of the best threads ive read, so much info and so many updates with pics and helpful info, thanks OP, great job on the car.

i liked your old Z with the black and grey better than the plastic dip one, hard to tell if those rims are nice, dif from in person than pics.. but the first pic with the black color looks the best imo.

i keep seeing black then oem then black then oem door handles again? maybe add a slight 3rd color like a navy blue to your theme? bc the blue bar in your engine bay looks MINT.

keep up the great job

Guys/Gals,

I just want to say that I give a big ROUND OF APPLAUSE for HOTRODZ (Bob) - Who drove 3 hrs from Kingman AZ to Phoenix to deliver some parts for me that I purchased off him!

I was sitting up in the sky with the stock suspension and needed to switch it up - So I bought Bob's slightly used NISMO Struts and some TEIN S Tech Springs.

From what I read the drop was supposed to be around 1.2 in the front and 1.4 or so in the rear. I think the front dropped more then the rear but I still love it. The NISMO struts and new springs seem to make the ride much stiffer and more bouncey! Highway driving is very smooth, possibly smoother then stock. Also, corning is a whole new world over the base setup. I feel like I can easily add 20mph when taking corners after adding the new suspension.

Install took roughly 5 hrs.. I got quoted $340 to do the install with the struts, and i just said F' it... Im going to DIY...

Only issue was that my wheel lock got stripped. Got the 4 lugs off, but couldnt get the wheel locks off.. So i broke them & used 19MM metric sockets and a hammer to get them off.. Other then that, beer & pizza made the job that much easier.

Here are a couple pics:

Nice job Nick...lookin good my friend, lookin good!!!!

How do you like the ride on the new springs? You probably need an alignment too.

The new suspension setup is great! I am feeling every bump in the road and cornering is now a whole new ball game!

Once I get new tires, in the next week or so, I will get an alignment as well :tiphat:

Thinking of a slightly bigger sidewall to fill the gap a little more

Thanks again Bob
