Recharged the AC yesterday and got a new inspection sticker.

Also helped the gf pick up a new ride to replace the 90k mile Kia. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/03/ju7equgu.jpg

IS350 F Sport. Ultra white with coke dealer red interior. Now to mod it on the down low. No tuning options, so it's probably just intake and cat back.

Damn .. huge upgrade! Very nice :)

You know, if they made one of these with a proper transmission I'd be considering one as a daily. I got to beat one like a rented mule at the Lexus new model introduction event. It's a fantastic vehicle. If I were looking for a slushbox vehicle, it would be toward the top of the list. They gave the 2014 the same tranny out of the ISF, so it's pretty peppy.

Actually had a chance to get under my own car for a change this afternoon. Mainly just to check on things.

I did find what I think was an annoying "click" I kept hearing at low speeds. Turns out the clutch line would tap the wastegate recirc tube. A length of hose and some zip ties later, problem most likely solved.

Dude you own your own lift there should never be a problem with getting it up in the air for routine checkout.

Oh wait...there's been another bitch taking up garage/lift space...

Carry on...nothing to see here, these aren't the droids you're looking for:wtf2:

And the mod bug strikes again. Bought a fuel pressure gauge and a Scangauge/rearview mirror mount. Who doesn't love more gauges?

Need to give this a shot as well before it gets too hot. Gotta keep cool.

Looks like I'm going to get to pay back some labor soon

Scangauge and Blendmount showed up today. Which is impressive, since I ordered it Thursday night. I'll clean up the cable and the rest of the install once I'm sure it's where I want it, but I'll have to do some driving to make sure.

It never ends ... does it.

Chuck33079 05-07-2014 03:53 PM

In theory it does, but I've never finished a project. I just keep adding stuff to the bottom of the list as fast as it comes off the top.

Unhappy update time - Looks like I'm one of the very few who managed to kill a HD CSC. Imagine my excitement.

Specialty Z and JTran have me covered, and it'll be back on the road soon enough, but now I know the pain of a dead csc.

ProTip- Never, ever buy a Spec clutch. Joe at Zspeed told me earlier this week that, while he has seen very few failures of his CSC, they are almost exclusively from Spec clutches. I was unhappy with it to begin with, and now it has cost me a lot of money.

YzGyz 11-22-2014 11:00 AM

Are you going to get a new clutch to replace the Spec?

YzGyz

Chuck33079 11-22-2014 11:08 AM

Yep. That POS is getting yanked out. Specialty Z is sending their setup out. New clutch, flywheel and their Tilton CSC. If I just replaced the csc the Spec clutch would kill it again.
