You will not get positive feedback for this on here, but its your car do what makes you happy. I love those graphics he had them on a Ferrari at a big show middle of last year.

Not bad bro. I can live with it.... like you said you wanted a Harley Z!

Surely it will attract a lot of attention.

Ya might scale the size back some.:tiphat:

Mr&Mrs 11-10-2012 06:35 AM

I think that size looks good! If you do it to much smaller (just the rear quarter) it will look out of place.

On another note the guy at work that hydro dips says he can get a print with skulls on it. He is going to show them to me when he gets a chance.

Fender update

Holy crap :icon14: these things were way off. Door gap looks good, Hood gap is a little large, the headlight area the fender starts to rise :werd: above the fender by 2/16th inch, and the gap is more than a 1/4 of an inch down the hood and finder line.

I filed out the mounting holes, I will drill out the engine area holes to tighten the hood gap. The inside top doesn't sit flush so the head light mounting will be interesting. With the fender bolted on the fender is under constant stress..

Fun, fun, love a challenge.. Here are some pics..

That top braket by the mirror I had to file/sand down to get the gap correct to the A-Pillar. You can also notch the top bracket out some more so it can slide farther back towards the door. Then you can bump the bottom two brackets forward to re-adjust the bottom gap.

The brackets for the hood line can be knocked up or down as well, or use washers. I like to beat things so I knock them up or down as needed. Make your 3 top holes (for the hood gap) a little big and in an oval shape so you can slide that puppy around where you need it.

Did you have fun getting that square white clip out of the bottom of the factory fender? :rofl2:

Mr&Mrs 11-10-2012 11:05 AM

Also I think factory specs on the gap are right around an 1/8 inch so the bottom looks good, the top needs to come back some. As for the middle gap I have put four of these on now and due to the curve going into the vent it always seems to be a little bigger.

I just noticed something else that picture with the yellow clip. It does not go there! The headlight has a tab that slides into that spot. The yellow clip goes on the other side of that white bracket and the corner of the bumper attaches to it (it faces down towards the ground).

Nut_N_Much 11-10-2012 01:49 PM

You guy's are crazy... Don't walk out, I'll have angry wives at my door . Worked on it some more.. The top can't adjust down, the FB Glass Mold is way off and cracking the more I try to push it in the right place.
The finder is staying on for now so I can work on it..

- Robert: The top door bracket, I think your right about filing it some and oval out the hole. That should allow some adjustment.

- Those mounting tabs by the lights are crap, worried about braking it. I brake it and I'll have an excuse to get metal ones, colored match.

Not quitting, just letting my back chill. So far I feel like re-drilling holes in new locations and using nylock nuts. I'm worried cuz if I loose it, I'll take a sledge hammer to it.. Rather tear and engine apart and rebuild it.. You guys that do this stuff a lot are awesome, mad respect for you!!!

Here are some pics:
You can see some cracking, that hole panel flars up, thats why the fenders high.. If I can get it adjusted I'll cut it off and re-glass at the right angle..

Here is the gap at the light.. The hole fender is twisted, so it pushes into the light leaving a good size gap at the bottom.

Hood line is a little better..

Door jams are good, side skirt is a cluster F_ _k up front will tighten and drill my own holes!

:happydance::happydance::happydance: 1/3 Done :bowrofl:
