That means I just have to get my center console, shifter surround, and emblems painted red to match.

Might as well paint your nails red too!

Don't worry... He's just jealous because he can't be the one to paint my nails.

I haven't posted an update in awhile... so here's a HUGE update:tiphat:

I finally had to get my lawyer involved since Nelson Competition would not start on my build and kept telling me a sponsored race motor had to be put into production ahead of mine.

Just a quick timeline of what's happened:
Car purchased April 13, 2012
Motor spun rod bearings after 1,200 miles on June 30, 2012
Car was dropped off at Elite Automotive on August 2, 2012
Motor was pulled/delivered to Nelson Competition on August 20, 2012
Received rebuild quote on September 4, 2012 and gave them the go ahead the following day
Motor was completed on Octoober 23, 2012
Car was not ready to be picked up at the shop until November 2, 2012

Motor spun rod bearings again after 600 break in miles on November 17, 2012
Car was dropped off at Elite Automotive on December 2, 2012
Motor was pulled/delivered to Nelson Competition on December 12, 2012
Motor diagnosis was oil starvation/leftover debris from first rebuild on January 22, 2013
Received rebuild quote on January 29, 2013
Conference call with Nelson Competition and Elite Automotive to discuss who was paying on January 30, 2013
Elite Automotive said they would cover repair costs on February 6, 2013
Received cam/head work quote on February 11, 2013 and gave them the go ahead the following day
Elite Automotive did no pay Nelson Competition until February 26, 2013
Parts were not even ordered until March 7-8, 2013
All parts had arrived by March 15, 2013
Lawyer called March 29, 2013 since nothing had progressed

Three weeks ago, my lawyer called the machine shop and asked for a reasonable completion date since they would NOT give me a completion date. They came to an agreement that April 19th was fair and reasonable. Well, the 19th has come and gone with another excuse that a race motor had to be completed:mad: My lawyer called again for an update Friday, but they did not return his call. I really want to pursue further legal actions, but do not know under what grounds? Any suggestions? I'd at least like to sue them for car payments/car insurance for the past 5 months my car has been down (+$3000).

Since I've had so much downtime, I've had the modbug bad! Not pictured are the white LEDs to replace all my gauge lighting, white LEDs to replace the dome/trunk lights, 6k HIDs and fogs, MGW short throw shifter, new Viper SRT-10 fender emblems, Viper Black touch up paint, Snakeskin Green touch up paint,

Example of what the gauge lighting will look like, rather than the nasty yellowish OEM lighting

Bellanger 1.75" equal length long tube headers with jet hot coating still waiting to be installed since the last rebuild

Lloyd's Ultimat with Snakeskin Green embroidery and piping (I orginally ordered red, but had the order changed before they started production)

Tomorrow, I'll be going to see my car to pick up a few things... calipers, wheels, shifter surround and radio surround. I'll be having the radio/shifter surround painted Snakeskin Green, along with my new Viper SRT-10 fender emblems. I'm also selling my 19"/20" Modulare Forged wheels :( I'll be taking the calipers to the powdercoater to be powdercoated Snakeskin Green as well.

The reason why I'm selling my wheels :yum: 19"/20" HRE 542 with satin black centers and gloss black lips

My best attempt at photoshopping what the interior pieces will look like painted

Euroteck CF front lip (my first CF piece I've EVER purchased in my 11 years of car modding) and Michellin Pilot Sport PS2 to replace a balding tire on my OEM wheels

As soon as I pickup my car, I'm taking the car to my friend (same guy who did my 3" single HKS exhaust for the Z...which I FINALLY sold on Friday:tup:) to build me an exhaust for the Viper. We will be installing the headers and throttle body there. Then I need to take it somewhere for a tune; Jason Heffner is closest at about an hour away in Sarasota, Sean Roe is about 4 hours away in Jacksonville, and Doug Levin is about 4 hours away in Miami. I'd prefer Heffner, but they are not doing a good job of returning my emails/phone calls.

A very similar build as mine made 643whp:eek: I CANNOT FRIGGIN WAIT....

Oh yeah, I've already seen 2 Gen Vs on the road and I really hope I get this promotion I applied for about a month ago...

Well, I went to pay a visit to my car today...dropped off my OEM wheels and picked up my 19"/20" Modulare Forged wheels. I also picked up my calipers and removed my radio surround and shifter surround. I drove to the wheel's buyer's house about 30 minutes away from the shop where my car is at. It was a bittersweet moment. I was sad to sell the wheels because I only had them on the car for 2 weeks that I could drive the car, but I'm sure I'll enjoy some HREs. I'm just waiting on my new fender emblems to arrive so I can take them and the interior pieces to the paint shop. I hope to get my calipers powdercoated within the next week.

My lawyer called for an update twice today and both times the shop said they would call him back; That failed to happen. If they don't have good news for him tomorrow, I'm getting a second lawyer involved who is knowledgable about these kinds of things...my current lawyer is a friend, but he's a bankruptcy lawyer and is just doing me a favor.

Hope the best for you bro!

Thanks, man. I'm looking forward to head what the shop has to say tomorrow.

98intrigue 04-23-2013 06:55 PM

Well, the machine shop says the motor will be done by next Tuesday...7 business days later than what they first told my lawyer:mad: He advises that pursuing anything further will further delay me getting my car back...so it looks like I'll be patiently waiting again :shakes head:
