Looks good man, looks like you knew exactly the look you wanted to go for. I'd call it a success.

The stock ones!

miguez 06-21-2009 03:14 PM

Mike, did you need to do any conversion coating on the wheels before the paint coating?

f'ing gorgeous!!!

No, I just scuffed them up and coated over them. One I had sandblasted, but thats because I had a blemish in the first finish and wasn't happy with it.

I have a set of track wheels for my corvette that I coated several years ago with zero prep at all, just took them out of the box and wiped them down with alcohol, and they are holding up fine too, even after multiple tire changes. I would never do that to a customers wheel, but it was also for product testing.

Thanks for the info! Sounds like their surface can be easily prepped!

car looks great, is that with the springs installed? If so, do you think they will settle any lower?

springs are installed, don't think it will settle much, especially the front, as they are very compressed already as it is.

Just got tail lights tinted and door handles color matched. They were too big and silver with the silver wheels.

Just curious what the process on the door handle was.

drop the car off at the body shop and pick it up 4 days later. They did everything, and it was just under 400 for the tails and the handles.
