If anyone is working on the VQ37VHR fuel system be SURE to visit this link:

CJ Motorsports FTW all day long! Been a customer for 8 years and couldn't ask for a better company!

We installed the VVEL assembly last Friday and tried to start the car. Apparently the AEM regulator can not adjust enough for the cars needs so we swapped it for the Aeromotive regulator. Car started, everything was good and I was happy. When we went to start the car the next day it was doing the steering lock b*llsh*t. One thing after another with this damn car. Does the car not realize I'm trying to make it badass? Anyways..... calling Nissan to see if they can just ship the part to JTran and let them do the swap via the Nissan TSB for 09-10's. Sh*t better go rite!

Tap the lock while trying to start the car, it should release and then you can yank the fuse to stop it happening again while you wait for the replacement part (covered under recall warranty)

I did that in the fall of 2011 and hadn't had any issues since, BUT I never pulled the damn fuse. The steering wheel lock actually never locked the wheel again and it's still not locked. I tried hitting the unit again but I didn't hit it while trying to start the car. I'll give it a go.

It needs to be 'energized' while tapping it for it to back out of the lock position. It should work....

Well, it's been many moons since I did an update. Life, work and time has gotten in the way with the build, but now the engine is complete and next stop will be fabrication of new turbo manifold and 4 inch single exit exhaust.

Ran into a few issues along the way with VVEL, I had the cam caps incorrectly installed in the right order preventing the VVEL from operating correctly. That problem solved she fired right up!

Roll bar fabrication was completed today, going to powder coat for some red to complement the red Bride seats and harness's.

I've attached some recent pics of my new rims, roll bar and a video of start up!

I'll be submitting more updates as often as possible, we expect her to be on the dyno in about 1.5-2 weeks!

And that's a pretty brutal dyno. Any plans to take it somewhere with a dynojet for **** measurement purposes? :rofl2:
