Installing the fuel pump stabilizer today. Going to use a surge tank instead of the fuel cell and bulkhead. Less work and keeps the cost down while satisfying my needs.

Finished it up earlier this morning. Car seems to start much better with the 3 inch piping. Cleaned up most the wirring. Need to work on the vaccum lines and wirring in the engine bay a bit more.

Custom built JTran Z06

Fully completed engine build, 7.0L of N/A Hell! I'm not sure on the numbers but I know it's upper 500 whp! Shiz nasty! Burgenholtz Racing & JTran ftw!

I know this is like way off topic from what this thread is currently talking about, but what size rims and tires are you running? (Assuming you still have the 5 spoke wheels on page one of this lol)

Amazing thread btw.

Oh is that where the fuel tank is, was looking for that when I had to find a way to drain my tank for HIN :P

I'm such a flip flopper... this week, I've been on a kick of keeping the Viper and doing a build with heads/cam. 600whp NA sounds so good!

I sold them to get some funds for this project. They were WORK Equips(no longer in production in these sizes and style), 20x9.5 Front 20x11 rears, not sure on the tires, pretty sure it was a weak *** 285 in the rear. I'll be going WAY MOAR BEEFY w/ my next setup!

If it wasn't so far! IF I decide to build it, I'd only be looking at 600whp...which is nothing remotely close to hang with the big boys in Texas.

You going to try to make it to ZDayz this year?

O&G 01-11-2013 01:16 PM

I ment 2 build it, but yea it is a good distance.

All engine rebuild parts ordered

Finished ordering all the parts needed to assemble the motor. HP rod and main bearings w/ coatings, OEM oil pump, rear main seal, crank key, crankshaft oil hole plug and the thrust washers. JTran has all the ARP studs in stock and I have the rebuild gasket kit already. Hopefully all that crap will arrive when the pistons get here so we can tear down, and rebuild without waiting on anything. The spare block I purchased has been at the machine shop for about a week getting prepped for the rebuild. COMP Turbo is taking their sweet time upgrading/rebuilding my turbo, hopefully another week or so. JTran still needs to weld up a new turbo manifold as well. Lots to do!

Still debating on a fuel system, I have a few friends running setups from https://radiumauto.com/index.php?p=c...&parent=5&pg=1 ,probably doing something along this line with a CJM full return system.

Still debating on exhaust cams and upgraded springs/retainers. Seems pointless at this time as cam lift can still NOT be controlled w/ an UpRev tune, only cam timing. Haltech is said to be coming out with a unit with full VVEL control, I'm skeptical but JTran says it's going to happen.

Seat rails are coming from Bride in Japan so who knows....fml.

Get more updates when kool stuff starts happening.

O&G 01-16-2013 03:21 PM

car went to North Side Chassis today for roll cage design and install. Should be back in 10-14 days. By that time all motor crap and turbo should be here.

JTran and Burgenholtz are going to UpRev tomorrow so Ron can get up to speed with UpRev tuning. JTran is going to bug them about VVEL tuning, hopefully I'll get some fresh news on that.
