Bernardio's 370z Journal
2011 370z Touring w/Sport 6MT
Just thought I throw together a short thread to document the life and times of my 370z. I don't have any major plans with the car, but the modding force is strong in me.. so you never know! Purchased her on 10/14/2011 http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l2...z/IMG_0084.jpg http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l2...z/IMG_0091.jpg http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l2...z/IMG_0087.jpg |
Yeaahhhh.. Finally broke 1000! Now it's time to really enjoy the Z :driving:

Picked up some Ichiba 20mm bolt-on spacers from a local shop!
Install was easy, but it seemed like the ichiba bolts weren't fully seated. I torqued them down until they felt solid, then re-torqued them to 80. All seems good so far and the offset is just about perfect with the stock sport wheels! :icon17: (11/07/2011) http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l2...z/12b532bf.jpg http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l2...z/eee4567a.jpg Some pics to show the offset at stock height. http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l2...z/932f23f9.jpg http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l2...z/5b0e4a55.jpg http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l2...z/54eca947.jpg http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l2...z/c93c5cd3.jpg |
So these have been sitting in my garage since the 10/27 (Thanks KamiSpeed!) and I've been too lazy.. err, busy to get them in. I should have just installed them during the spacer install. I'm hoping to get them in sometime this weekend. We shall see :shakes head:

The driver-side should be easier now that I've struggled figuring things out. I'm hoping to have some time tomorrow to finish the job. On a separate note, I LOVE my impact wrench! Don't know why I didn't get one sooner! (11/10/2011) http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l2...z/f2c008c0.jpg |
Found some time this morning to finish installing the swift springs. The front driver's side was much easier than the passenger side and the rears were a breeze!
Haven't had a change to really push it yet, but the install feels solid with no popping or creaking. I'm working in napa tomorrow so I'll get a change to thoroughly flog the z through some mountain twisties. Anyhow, here's a pic to show the new stance. I must say that It's about perfect and the offset with the spacers really complete the look. (11/13/2011) http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l2...z/IMG_0220.jpg |
Good start. What's next for yea?
|
The first picture reminded me of my car hahaha. Good job so far!
|
Some tint would complete the look =P

Thanks guys! I've got a couple more mods planned, but I'd like to keep it fairly mild. My
intent is to have a very commute-friendly fun car with some track reliability bits. Anyhow, up next is an exhaust that should make it to my doorstep before Christmas. I don't know if I can wait that long without modding though! |
Keep it up!

Looks great. Simple mods is the way to go

so i thought I should go get an alignment before my tires started showing signs of camber wear from the recent swift spring drop. I was hoping they'd be able to get me closer to stock on the rear than they did, but It's definitely better than it was I guess.
I'm thinking camber kits are in my near future.. Here's the results: (11/18/2011) http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l2...z/IMG_0234.jpg |
