Time for an update! Landed the type n spoiler from carbon signal which should arrive Wednesday for a test fit. Amuse rear and skirts are on the way and the UAM fenders should ship Friday! Still finishing and prepping the carbon signal raptor front. In the meantime I ordered a set of illuminated Z kick plates from my buddy Jomer and they turned out awesome!

Carbon signal type n spoiler came today! Great fit and clean look seems much better quality than the raptor front bumper. Going to have my shop mold the spoilers together to make it seamless. Here's a couple of quick phone pics from the test fit!

Hoootttttt! Wow that is going to look so nice in the end. Wow

Glokwork 06-06-2012 07:59 PM

Well it didn't take very long for things to go terribly wrong. Do yourselves a favor people and don't buy anything from CarbonSignal or Aerojacket!

What happened?

Glokwork 06-07-2012 05:30 AM

The Aerojacket fenders are going to end up costing twice the amount I paid for them to fix them and the CarbonSignal front bumper is even worse :shakeshead: My body shop is doing a sponsorship for me which is helping but it's drained my entire budget and my big surprise isn't going to happen now.

The fitment is terribly off on the fenders and bumper. Both also have cracks and theres no consistency with the lines and edges on either. This is such a headache. When it's done it's gonna look great unlike my savings account. My shop is amazing, the pieces will be 10 times better than either manufacturer could hope to make them. Just to add to the ordeal, Aerojacket are being complete dicks about this. Doing everything possible to shift blame and even suggested that these are not their fenders at all!! The fenders cost me 550 without shipping, the repair estimate is inching its way up to 1,100. I think a fair solution would be for Aerojacket to eat the cost of the fenders and shipping and I'll deal with the aftermath.

GetYourWheels 06-07-2012 06:46 PM

Let me know we just launched the new forged line.. I think its time for 12's on the back with that nice rear bumper :)

Glokwork 06-08-2012 09:06 PM

Found out today the build is going to probably take a 3rd week to complete now. Aerojacket finally called me back after 2 days and wasn't helpful at all. More finger pointing and passing blame to the distributor. They offered to send me a new set of fenders which would be pointless with how much is already invested in this set. I've been advised to create a thread warning people about how shitty the aerojacket fenders and customer service are, but I'm not one to bash someone and jump the gun. Gonna give it a couple days I guess and hope things start to turn around.

It sucks that you have to go through this. Hang in there, man.

tonybui 06-09-2012 08:40 AM

Damn, keep us updated on the install !! Good luck man

I just bought fenders, amuse front and side from aerojacket too ..

Glokwork 06-09-2012 06:49 PM

Thanks for the support guys I'm sure things will start to turn around. Here's some pics of what I'm dealing with.

Geesh. I do not mean to bash, but that is incredibly poor workmanship on the supplier's part. I mean, holy smokes!!! I would be livid and want some heads on a platter -- figuratively (of course). What is your plan of action? Need some "persuasion" assistance. I have some people who are pretty good at convincing people to recognize the error of their ways and make things right.

Yeah it's pretty bad. Aerojacket has assured me out of about 40 sets this is the first one, but I'm pretty skeptical now. I've been in talks with them and Mike (Bullitt@UAM) and it sounds like he's gonna come through big time for me! Aerojacket is gonna reimburse UAM, then UAM reimburses me. That's the plan anyway but I'm not holding my breath either. As far as some "persuasion" assistance, I think I need to fly you out and take you to work with me for a few weeks! If you have any other ideas though, I'm all ears buddy!

I am happy to oblige should it come to that. In the meantime, stay on top of these guys with phone calls and emails. Also, make sure to document every communication. It helps. It also helps to always take the high road, at least at first. Be nice, make them think that you are just asking for their help in resolving the issue, etc. A trick I learned is to always smile when you are talking on the phone -- it actually makes your voice sound different to people and you get their cooperation and understanding more effectively.

Should all else fail, let me know when you want me to fly out there. I am in the mood.

Apoc370z 06-11-2012 07:16 PM

I already knew you will have problems with the bumper once i saw the pics posted, but what is the actual fitment issue? I have to shave down the sides (the part that goes under the head light cause it was too thick) and i have to trim down the end of the main vents (the cutout for the power steering cooler) and trim a small piece for the toe hook.

Not as bad as yours though

Glokwork 06-15-2012 10:15 PM

Went by the shop today after work and finally all the repairs are done and fitment is good! They were sanding the rear and I forgot to get a pic. Here's some pics of everything ready for primer finally!!
