Tony,
It was nice meeting you at Z Nationals bro. If you're ever in Atlanta again before the next Z Nationals, make sure you let me and Dai know. We could always meet in NC .

Cool deal! Not sure I'll be back down in GA before next year but you never know! I'll prob be doing ZCON since it's in Savannah next year, as well as Z Nationals again! If we can work something out in NC....that'll work, too! ;)

yo Tony, you need to send me the details on that one item you wanted me to check for in Japan. I know some people coming to the US in OCt and NOV who could potentially bring it with em.

How 'bout some Cental 20 side skirts and a Varis CF hood before my P.O.S. hood falls off and I die? :shakes head:

I've taken several long trips over the past two weeks. Trips that I would normally not do. I'm generally a local driver....home to work and back and then maybe a little local driving during the weekend. However, I did the Z Nationals drive last week (1600 miles round trip) and today went to Ztoberfest in Richmond, VA (180 miles round trip).

In those two trips, my hood on the left side (passenger side if facing the car) has started to bow up really bad. It's also rubbed my strut tower bar in two places and also began to rub my Password:JDM cooling plate on the passenger side.

Today, when I arrived at Ztoberfest I got out and looked back at my car and there was such a huge gap on the side of the hood it was redonkulus! Then, when I raised the hood, someone noticed one of the locking mechanisms was loose! They luckily had the tools to tighten it so that issue has been fixed but m hood is so warped (and now it's getting cooler so there won't be much heat during the day to shape the hood back in place....which it did a few times back during the summer).

Lesson learned? Never purchase knock-off Chinese parts for a Japanese car, I guess. :icon14: I want a Varis CF hood......and now, it's not just a want.....it's leading to a need!

:icon17: Yeah, I know....it was just a wish I had there for a moment. Those side markers would be great if they can be found! I can post the link here if that would help. When are they heading to Japan?

I admit I did consider that one.....but $3200 for a hood.....yes, I'm insane but even I would post a comment about me being a fool for buying it. :bowrofl: So, I'll prob go with the cheapest one they have. That thing is still $1800 but at least I don't think it would lift up on one side. Plus, this time, I'll get hood pins, too.

I just wish the Bay Speed Aero hood didn't mess things up under my hood and then after a spirited 2000+ miles over two weekends bow out of place so bad. I'll get photos tomorrow of the hood......I'm pretty sure it will still be in the same condition it was this afternoon.

This is the hood I'm most likely going with:

Varis - Cooling Bonnet, Carbon - 370ZTUNE.com
