I agree 100%, even though my heart lies with Nissan

The car is nice but the paint combinations are a bit Matchbox.

That mustang looks good. Needs a drop thou.

Brake cooling finally coming together... pics of that within a week or so

We also installed a Ron Davis custom radiator with 3" core... won't drop much weight, but will never have to worry about water cooling, and my hope is that by keeping the water temps extra low there is a secondary benefit to oil temps

Also, if you haven't been following the fuel starvation thread, I expect my new fuel tank with 2 added fuel pickup pumps to be shipped back to me this week and reinstalled by next week... Rich@nohotwire.com will have more details to share

Upcoming Events: Chuckwalla private event in September... possibly Firebird local club in September... possibly RTA Spring Mountain in September... NASA TTA Phoenix Intl Raceway in October

Any update on a brake duct solution? I roasted my brakes this weekend.

travisjb 09-01-2010 03:50 PM

That bites! any damage or just a little brake fade?

According to my shop, SRD Performance in Tempe AZ, they are done installing a custom ducting setup... They said they'd shoot me some photos soon and I'll post when I get em. I'm not sure if they intend to make a kit, but at least the local guys here in AZ will know where to go. Standby for more...

The caliper is fine, the rotor is a little warped but only when warm so I'm hoping to rebuild it and have it resurfaced to be back in business. Worst case is I need new rings ... we will see. Amazing track, but damn does it lay the smackdown on brakes.

I'll be interested to see the pics of what they came up with. It's easy taking air in, getting it delivered to the right spot in the hard part.

Back on the theme of trucks... I just posted a new thread here http://www.the370z.com/other-vehicle...tml#post704098 I caught a test mule for some truck on my bberry camera yesterday in Colorado, and am stumped on what the model is

And the long-awaited brake cooling setup! If you're interested in this, and we all should be given how inadequate the air flow is on our front brakes, suggest you contact Chet at SRD Performance of Tempe, AZ Ph: 480-317-0090 or e-mail: sales@superiorracing.com

Does this hook up to the stock fang vents?

yes it does, Chris. you can see that in one of the pics above... will have a pic of the front of car later... again, not sure if Chet is going to sell a kit, but might be worth giving him a call, and if there's enough interest I'll try to talk him into sponsoring this board

ChrisSlicks 09-02-2010 09:38 PM

Yep, just wanted to make sure you had the stock facia still.

Chet can sell product without being a member on here, he just can't promote himself. I will drop him a message.

got it - was a valid question... fascia was not discernible from the pic... hope Chet can work something up for you!

Looks good Travis! How does the metal plate attach by the rotor?? Any pictures where we can see where it is bolted to?
