Good stuff! Looking forward to seeing your progress and end result.

EDIT: BTW, I don't think you sound retarded. You sound like someone who's exited and eager to SC'ing a Z. I would be too. Good luck.

4.15am - IM is back on and new fuel system complete!

Going to call it a night at get on re-assembly of the power steering lines, than SC brackets, than SC! - this has gone incredibly smooth with only 2 'demon' bolts so far but we were able to take care of them...More on that in the morning!

...stay tuned.

another update from last night - a small nut fell into one of the ports while removing the protective tape. That was truly an 'oh ****' moment. Luckily the valve was fully closed and I had a long enough magnet to retrieve it! Besides that, the IM is bolted back on and we're almost there now! Images of those demon bolts and things to watch out for around 5-6 pm tonight.

Nice progress!

Quick, I need some recommendations...Going to pick up some fluids.

What's the best off the shelf power steering, coolant, windshield washer fluids?

Power steering is Dextron VI, I used Redline D6 ATF. For coolant the best performer is pure distilled water with enough anti-freeze mixed in to act as a corrosion inhibitor and freeze protection depending on the coldness for your area.

Another update. Power steering lines complete, supercharger brackets in place. I'll have to stop for today because I was informed by Sam that they recently discovered some good data from a flow machine that showed some very positive numbers on an improved intake piece that for lack of better terms is somewhat port and polished to smooth it out even further on the inside track.

So my next steps are to put that piece in place but I wont until the new one arrives which according to Sam should be mid this week! This is a good thing, I will be double checking all my connections and ensuring all is well.

As usual I will have a quick vid showing some of the additional progress and any other issues I run into.

Looks very exciting. About time for an update!

DannyGT 09-08-2010 11:33 PM

OK guys another update while I wait for the new casted intake piece...

My friend has a body shop and does alot of crazy widebody turbo'd porsche/bmw/audi's and I'm thinking of taking my front bumper and getting it custom cut to look something like the Zele kit. Now, I have to see what the price difference would be but I'm taking the bumper to him tomorrow to do some mock ups...

Does anyone have any idea's of what might look good, or if there are pieces out there that can perhaps be molded onto the car to have a nice design and still serve the purpose of getting things like the oil cooler, etc etc as much cool air as possible.

Price also has a factor. Might cost the same when its all said and done when its mocked up, drilled, sanded and etc to make it look like the zele. The zele kit also has a carbon fiber piece at the bottom.

damn lucky bastard!!! That is such a nice S/C kit. Gonna have to save up for one.
