Just now seeing your thread somehow, yet have been following you on instagram for some time now! I think it's slightly funny that you bought your yellow z in Reno then took it to Cali, as I bought my yellow z in Cali and brought it to Reno, and to my knowledge am the on yellow one here. Your car looks amazing man, keep up the good work! Enjoy SoCal!

Saw this at west coast z nationals. Clean car!

Took the Z out around the backdrop of Los Angeles with the Falken Photo Team! Here are just some photos I snapped while with them… Can’t wait to see their final product! http://www.project-definition.com/an...ng-900x600.jpg http://www.project-definition.com/an...ds-900x600.jpg Back home: http://www.project-definition.com/an...ms-900x600.jpg Falken Azenis FK453 tires have amazing grip! |

Started working on my interior (Finally!). Got the password JDM shift knob installed but quickly sold it and picked up a Tommy Kaira one (I still need to take photos of her). Also, getting a driver side Bride of Japan seat installed later this week (or next). Then upgrade my audio setup soon after. Lastly, get my aftermarket steering wheel setup put on too... Here are some other photos: http://www.project-definition.com/an.../falken900.jpg http://www.project-definition.com/an...yz-900x600.jpg http://www.project-definition.com/an...13/06/900z.jpg |
My favorite 370z. All your pics make me want to pick up another z, but sadly, I cannot afford one right now with my mortgage :(
You thought about blacking out your headlight housing? |
^yeah, i thought about it. There is a local guy here in LA that does them so we'll see what's up.
Hope everything is all good over there in Hawaii man! |
which seat did you endu p with?
|
Just a zeta 3. My brother has an extra one in my garage so i picked up another to match em up.

Tried installing the aftermarket steering wheel hub to my car and boy was it difficult. It wasn't so much as really hard, it was just very time consuming as there was no write-up for this install (well here on this forum anyways).
Turns out the hub was hitting two sensors (after removal of the stock steering wheel): http://project-definition.com/wp-con...2013/07/01.jpg and this is how it looks when you hit em: http://project-definition.com/wp-con...2013/07/03.jpg They would hit at these two locations: http://project-definition.com/wp-con...2013/07/02.jpg This is the clockspring: http://project-definition.com/wp-con...ckspringin.jpg You have to remove the bottom plastic shroud from the steering housing and take the screws that are holding the clockspring in place. I believe there are 3 or 4 of them. The hardest one is the one underneath the top plastic shroud. Once you do that, the clockspring are held by two clips on both the left and right side. Wiggle and pull diagonal down towards where your thighs would be. This is how it looks like: http://project-definition.com/wp-con...kspringout.jpg Then place your hub (either NRG or Worksbell) and tighten it down. It will look like this: http://project-definition.com/wp-con...asticunder.jpg Then replace the bottom plastic shroud and continue with installing your aftermarket quickrelease/steeringwheel! Things to consider: 1. YOU WILL HAVE YOUR VDC OFF and SLIP LIGHT ON. There is no way around this without professional rewiring (i don't even think it would be worth it as they will have to mess with computer wire stuff. Yes, computer wires... you'll see what I'm talking about if you open up the clockspring. 2. YOUR SRS airbag will light on unless you know what you're doing with the materials that came with your quick release. Sadly, there are no directions/instructions!!! 3. The above applies to your HORN! So no horn unless you have it wired somewhere else. So pretty much, you lose a lot but gain one badass piece of looking interior: http://project-definition.com/wp-con.../zinterior.jpg As far as the drive... I love the feel of my new Personal steering wheel. I also have the Nardi Deep Corn 330mm steering wheel but the placement of the thumbs and curvature of the Personal feel more like a race car. Oh and for the hubs... I have both the NRG and the Worksbell short hubs. They are pretty much exactly the same. The Worksbell one actually looks "cheaper" because of it's flimsy shroud, whereas the NRG one is solid all around. Oh well, cheers! Here is a photo of my brother's Miata and my car after the install: http://project-definition.com/wp-con...amesandrew.jpg |
