So.. back on subject lol I took my car to the shop and they got it all stripped down. I've taken it to this guy a few times and we've kinda become good friends, and today he actually offered me a job. I took it :) Now i'll be getting paid to work on my own car :p I'm going to get a seibon Ts carbon hood. Wrap the roof in carbon. Paint my wheels and door handles a dark gunmetal color, and some other small stuff along with lots of body work and respraying her. Also just put on some 255/285 Hankook v12s.

Kills me seeing this :(

Congrats on the job ! It was awesome before this mother nature thing happened ... it will be better than ever now. Whenever I get a weather alert for hail in the area I cringe.

LakeShow 05-06-2012 10:51 AM

Wow FlushNismo, that's scary to see! Hopefully everything will be 100% again.

Bigviet23 05-07-2012 02:16 PM

that looks horrible, every time i hear hail i cringe and start thinking about what garages are available to park at. I know you'll love the opportunity to fix her up, congrats on the job too

Viera 05-09-2012 05:10 PM

Now that's what I call a blessing in disguise. Congrats on the job man! Can't wait to see your Z when its done!

Flushnismo 05-23-2012 08:58 PM

Okay I'm gonna try to post some pictures of the whole process my car is going through. For those of you that don't know, it got about 8k in hail damage and had to be repainted. I work at the body shop so I got a ton of extras thrown in at no extra cost.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-d...25281%2529.JPG

I ordered a seibon hood & spoiler and also a carbon roof. We sanded down all the carbon fiber and put 3 coats of clear over it. I also removed all the 3m tape off of the roof and then panel bonded it to the car...it was a lot more flush this way and now it's permanent. We will cut and buff everything tomorrow so it'll look like glass :)

The wheels, door handles, emblem, and fang section are painted this cool gunmetal color.

Car should be done next week...it'll look completely different.

Carbon_z 05-23-2012 10:47 PM

It's gonna look sick, now I gotta get my car back together ;)

The car is completely torn down so all the windows and panels were already off.

It's from option racing.. They are the only people I talked to that had it in stock. Fitment is flawless. :)

I wouldn't do it. :bowrofl: I want to know details!!!

Viera 06-17-2012 05:50 PM

It would be a nice upgrade...but I would miss your Z dearly. Why not just go boost?

I bought Eibach springs the first week I owned the car. I decided I wanted adjustability, so before they arrived I bought Vipair suspension. When I installed it, I found out I had 3 blown shocks. I ended up procrastinating for 3 weeks and found a set of lightly used OEM shocks. Before they arrived, I finally manned up and bought KW V2s and installed them last weekend.

Let me know if you have any questions on anything.

I know how you feel man.. I, too, am getting a tad bored of it as well after owning her for a few years. I'm ready for boost or a different car lol. More towards boost, though...

Been in the same boat brother...

Its a straight trade deal, I'd do it in a heartbeat. I'm guessing you have minimal commuting where you live, so gas mileage shouldn't be too bad. Not sure if I'd want to daily the Viper though. I would consider getting a car port or garage too; you're luck with the Z outside hasn't been exactly great

What front lip is that? I like
