I ended up procrastinating for 3 weeks and found a set of lightly used OEM shocks. Before they arrived, I finally manned up and bought KW V2s and installed them last weekend.

Let me know if you have any questions on anything.

I bet those cost you a pretty penny. I want adjustability but I really don't want to drop 3k on coilovers either :/ could you upload some pics of how it sits?

Yes, the KWs were not cheap. The Vipair kit is the way to go if you want adjustability, without spending too much. I paid $1000 for the kit and only put on 200 miles. I'll sell it to you for a good price of you pick one up. It comes with custom Eibach spring rates, theaded collars to adjust the ride height, and new top hats. so basically they are coils, but you reuse your stock shocks.

Lol, looks like you have no choice but to pick one up now

Sounds like a deal man. How do they ride compared to the KWs?

I never got to compare the two. My friend and I installed our Vipair kits together on the same day. When I installed my Vipair kit, I realized I had 3 blown shocks. So I still have 5 lightly used shocks sitting in a box (3 fronts with 5k miles, 2 rears with 10k miles on them) that I bought, but never installed. My friend hasn't had any complaints so far about his Vipair kit.

KWs for a viper?..

98intrigue 06-18-2012 05:00 PM

^+1. They don't make V3s for the Viper...only V2, Clubsport, and HLS.

Flushnismo 06-18-2012 05:26 PM

So how does the viper compare to the z? turn more heads now? lol

My Z got a good amount of attention, but this thing is absurd! I always go out with the cars I posted in my thread and apparently it gets the most attention out of all of them... They all say it looks like a car from Gran Turismo that you would buy and immediately slam it, haha. Or the die cast models that they would remove the springs from so the car sat on the tires.

So far, 0 disappointments. It's a blast to drive!
