color??

I ordered matte blue through their Ad Personam program...but I might go with Nero Nemesis (matte black) instead to go with the Dark Knight evil look... I can still change that up until April.

So I'll see...still researching. I want 1500+awhp though. Shouldn't be hard to do if they have it figured it out. UR had a Gallardo (that flipped at the mile run last year) running 1850+awhp.

Yeah, the Gallardo flipping I was told was driver error, first time with a parachute and did not know how to handle the braking.
Though who knows the exact details, honestly all shops have 'horror' stories it seems, you just have to look through the exaggerate internet BS to find the truth.

AMS could do it if you really didn't want to use UR. There is a local guy here with a neon green lambo with the UR tt kit on it and it looks and runs amazingly.

Congrats! Awesome ride!! Will look forward to following your build. One thing I've noticed with the matte black, it's practically invisible to other drivers in certain lights, and I've already had a few close calls with the Audi.
Have you checked out the grigio estoque? …. nasty.

one of my good friends went to work for them after graduating college... he quit after just a few months. he couldn't stand the way the bothers (owners) treated him, the other workers, or customers. they do make some impressive kits, no doubt, but i can't warn you enough. stay away from UR :icon14:

I have! It is indeed a very sick color. That was on the top of my list too but it's too close to my 370z color.

turbo piping put together with duct tape, cars that were perfect returned damaged and/or badly repaired, charging for a higher level kit and installing a lesser one (usually the turbos), forgetting to put oil in customers cars before sending them out... most shops have "horror stories" but most shops tend to try to correct them. instead, the shop owners publicly go after the vehicle owners making wild accusations and trying to defile the owners name instead of trying to solve the problems. the kits that UR puts on cars (from what i've seen and heard) are for people who don't know much about their own cars and specifically don't question the work done. the company is extremely unorganized. i won't get into any details but trust me, it would blow your mind. my friend was hired to try to correct this but that didn't work out so well...

Nitrouz 01-15-2012 11:01 PM

hm....any links you might be able to point me to?

HKYStormFront 01-15-2012 11:03 PM

i don't have any off hand as most of the threads have been deleted. they used to be a vendor on the big viper forums but now they have been kicked off due to bad business practices. they may have a few sticky'd as a warning

trust me alex, you've known me for a while now. i can't tell you what to do or not do but be careful and be as involved as possible if you send your car there

Nitrouz 01-15-2012 11:10 PM

oh I know and I value your opinion a lot Patrick, which is why I want to know more. I really appreciate the heads up. I'm going to do some more research now...

/\ dude, duct tapes works for EVERYTHING! :icon14:

Kinda reminds me of that other shop in TX that specializes in vipers that has such a bad rap, can't remember the dude's name of the top of my head.
