The e92 M3 is a Sick fn car for sure but driving my buddies than driving my Z they are very similar in speed/handling ... If I got a e92 m3 I would prob never drive the Z as it's just a little better than the Z in most areas, owning one or the other will make most owners just as happy as the other.

However, My z is a little faster in a straight line than his M3 ! but I'd still take the M over my car any day of the week. But both cars are more or less a car that you use as a "toy.". The M3 is def a little better DD and I am assuming that's why you are purchasing it, it's Much quieter and has a little smoother ride but both are def "sports car" not meant for family use , lol...

The only thing that bugs me about the M is how soft the clutch is and how far the throws are. Other than that I love it. Also the thick M steering wheel is nice to grip but I think I'd prefer it to be skinnier if I was going to be tracking the car.

I agree with you completely there with the soft clutch and long gear shifts. Also the lack of torque. But I should clarify that used M3's are cheap now, and this is a combined purchase between me and a buddy (50/50). He has an AE86 track car, and I have the Z. He has only 1 seat, I have 2. And we both need the occasional practicality. He just got out of a divorce recently and has 2 kids that he sees every other weekend and needs back seats. I just want a nice cruiser that I can pick up more than 1 lady friend in lol. Think of it like a car for a couple (obviously we're not), without the hassle or uncertainty of a relationship. So instead of an SUV or something, we get an M3. We just want something that's fun, with back seats, and we can get into trouble with. lol... We're going to burn through those tires so fast...

The 370Z traps 105ish and the e92 m3 traps 114mph. The M3 is almost a full second faster in the 1/4 mile too.
I dont see how we could be faster in a straight line

Do to forum rules I can not clarify this... but if you search beemer boards the m3 is a high 12 second car stock and some dont even break 12s with the 6 spd manual... my car is far from stock and has every bolt on available.. i can give you his phone number and he'll explain , he was blown away by my Z lol ! Now he loves my car, lately we have been swapping cars for a few hours here and there.. I love the M to death, like i said I would take it over my car in a heart beat... but MY z is quicker than his M in a straight line .... it surprised me and him ... i have no reason to lie , i dont need to feel cool on the internet. lol... There are a lot of variables in this, driver, specific car, etc and I am not claiming my Z is quicker than all m3's but on a few different occasions his car was a little slower than mine.

my Z is a 12.5-6 car or better, especially from slow rolls...

and nitrous... I WISH i had friends that I could split a car with and feel safe about it... insurance, loans, etc all would bug me out.. even my best of friends I would have a hard time trusting.. more power to you guys! Thats fn awesome.... I almost did something like that with my friend and a GTR but even with 10k down each we would still be paying a ton each month and we couldnt come to an agreement on where it would stay and who would get it, on what days, etc... and that was before even thinking about who's name it would be under..

Nitrouz 06-21-2011 10:23 PM

that's why we're splitting it and paying it outright with no payments. Name is under us both and we've been close friends for a long time. Just worked out I guess.

Got off work too late and my shop was closing...so only got to put the wing on. Next time for the fenders...that'll take some time.

Sorry for the night shots...just wanted to get some pics out to you guys first. These are just some quick pics outside the house.

Here we go. The wing came out as PERFECT as I could imagine. Fitment, curve, length, etc... 10/10 on everything.

flows very nice with the car

LMBmikeZ 07-16-2011 08:17 AM

That wing looks sick! It actually looks like it belongs there more then the stock one! Best one I've seen yet! I like them low and tight to the car not like the Nismo or other 12"+ F1 knock offs.

Can't wait to finally see these fenders on to!!!!

one can use double sided tape. But I chose to go the secure way and used silicone. It fits so flush with the oem spoiler that double sided tape may result in a very slight gap due to the thickness of the tape.

it does rain a lot here =[
