yea my feet hurt! It was nice meeting you and the others there. Your car sounds awesome, and it handles real nice with the swift springs and the sway bars.

heres one of the shots i got from the photoshoot, the rest are coming in the next day or two. i scaled it down, since it was a 34 megabite file

an oil cooler, then i hope to have some fun and do an HPDE class and start doing some auto x. maybe a shift knob or something. small i might do some breather mods if i come across something used that someone wants to part out. Not b/c i'm cheap, i just would rather not spend too much on performance mods, then once i get to that point where i'm no longer satisfied with the car, i can decide whether i want to go FI or just sell it.

so yea, next mod=oil cooler. after that its just pure enjoyment and :driving: until it doesn't do it for me anymore. right now i'm loving hte coilovers though. i really like the firmer ride and less roll in corners.

Well, that could be a problem, cause I usually never know when I'm flying out until the day before. We can just play it by ear, and if it works out, cool. If not, well then, you're just a douche. Sorry, couldn't resist!!

I want to get one to but kind of don't see the reason to. Tracked it a couple times and went on canyons runs never went above 24. But I'm sure the oil cooler will pay off. I do need one but just been avoiding it. What type are you leaning towards?

HATED1 11-24-2010 06:47 PM

looks nice man! how you liking the suspension? i have a slight bounce after i go over bumps in the freeway and such, nothing bad but trying to eliminate it. you got yours set at 20 right? might have to try that as i am on 17 and 20. Looks good though! nice rolling shots!

JDMFairlady21 11-26-2010 09:31 AM

not really sure yet. i have to do some more research. i haven't had any heat issues yet, but when it was very hot out i would not go to hard on the car.

Thanks Alex, i'm gonna move forward with that in spring/summer. i should be good for the winter as far as oil temps :) but could you PM me the price and the install price as well as the specs of the actual unit you are going to install?

Jeffblue 01-12-2011 10:21 AM

So i had some Dunlop Wintersport M3's mounted on some stock 18's last month, and i must say, even lowered, the car drives like a champ in snow. i wouldn't go take it out in the middle of a blizzard, but it does great in any snow covered road/snowy slush aftermath.

we got a foot or so of snow last night here on Long Island and here is my car at work, nice and filthy!

Dont say boring wheels too loud lol, the stock guys might get a little emotional from that comment.

So i finally got some good driving shoes by the advice of steve (m4a1mustang)
http://www.the370z.com/attachments/p...2011-puma1.jpg

i really like the shoes (its really nice to actually be able to feel the pedals) but that brought me to an issue. i tried to heel-toe in them, and because the sole is a bit narrower (i wear a size 10) i can't heel toe in them. I found that out the hard way as i went to blip the throttle while braking and shifting from 3rd to 2nd and i totally missed the accelerator. This problem left me with 3 solutions.

1. Turn on SRM (free)
2. Return the shoes (-$75)
3. Buy new pedals (~150)

Of course, i had to opt for the third option.

I just placed an order for some SRP Pedals SRP Nissan 370Z Racing Pedals
http://www.srpracing.com/prod_images..._grid_BU21.JPG
I order a set with the GRID pattern (which has the best grip) in Black/Silver Anodized.

http://www.srpracing.com/prod_images...DC376DF8%2Ejpg

The total came to 174 plus 6 for shipping. that additonal porton on the left side of the accelerator will be exactly what i need to be able to heel toe in these driving shoes.

Next up is a short throw shifter. These two mods will help to make the tactile sensation of driving the z even more fun than it is now (for me at least)

Toxik Got a new berk exhaust installed yesterday, so i bought his Nismo exhaust with an xpipe for a good deal. I love the tips, and the sound is nice. Its deeper at lower rpm, and still quiet enough for a DD. I'm happy with the look and the sound. I'm sure most people want something louder, but this suits me and what i wanted. Here are some before and after cold starts (each shot first thing in the morning on separate days)
