i need to see under your car to check that out. With my driveway and the way i enter im always looking for ways to stiffen up the car. If thats in a location that wont cause problems I may get it too.

how much was it?

HKYStormFront 07-13-2011 02:42 PM

i'm betting that would scrape going into the garage...

Flushnismo 07-13-2011 02:43 PM

^ditto, and how low does it hang?

scraping issues are right in the middle of the car. the cross brace. as thats the point where the center gets closest to the apex of the curve. If that sits far enough ahead close to the wheels, it shouldnt scrape. but i need to verify.

If i could find braces for the front in front of the wheels too i'd get those immediately. The nismo ones are more dampeners vs braces so im not looking at those.

Elvis@Vossen 07-13-2011 03:49 PM

Damn, that car looks sick!

It is mounted just behind the front wheels below O2 sensor harnesses. That's why I opted for this one vs the 4 point unit. Height is exactly same level as the plastic belly pan below the steering gear. So straight on impact would have to hit the belly pan first. My concern is with the ends and speed bumps. It is only 100 bucks so if I destroy it I don't feel so bad. It's also really lite!!

It's about the same ride height. I couldn't get the rear to go any lower. Turned them to lowest setting. The front has more but it is a few mm lower though.

My headlights should be here today or tomorrow!!

docaam 07-15-2011 04:00 PM

Will this front Tanabe lower brace and front sway bar links make the car a bit more stiff in driving? and which sway bar links you went for?

kevr6 07-16-2011 09:09 PM

I finally installed my modded headlights!! Had to start and work on them early am prior to work and finish after work.

The front end is very stiff now with this brace.
The sway bar links are just new stock ones and don't add any extra. My other ones were just worn.

I went with their dual orb with turnsignal projector lens and flat black. I didn't want to go overboard. I have another set of headlights that I may send out for something different from the rest. Pure custom idea I have...
I got this done for ZCON and the turn around was a week. (Shipping Costs$$) :shakes head:

kevr6 07-17-2011 07:41 PM
