Hey Kev, that big type R shift knob ...... is that thing too hot to deal with in the middle of the summer, if the car has been sitting outside? I would imagine it gets cold in winter as well, but that would warm up quickly, the heat thing worries me. I am looking to add one to my Z. Thanks.

It was hot one time and that's all it took for me to get a windshield sunshade.
After that I didn't have any problem!

Gottcha, so sounds like just outside ambient temps didn't cause an issue, but having the sun bake on it did.

Took me a few hours to install but I do have to say it was worth it! Notice the difference
in sound & power. I'm late for this mod but here is a pic anyway!

kevr6 06-22-2010 06:19 PM

Thanks everyone! I'm a tad worried about the front end and clearance. But I have pretty good lowered driving radar with many years of practice! ;)

azn370z 06-22-2010 06:22 PM

I saw the lip a couple weeks ago and it doesn't stick out as far as pics make it. But it is very low to the ground.

NIZZING 06-22-2010 07:21 PM

Thought about that but didn't want the carbon fiber theme. Seems to mainstream now. Of course I may do the interior in carbon fiber... ;)

thanks man

Dave384 07-01-2010 11:12 PM

I feel the pain. I ordered mine at the beginning of March, and if my calculation is correct this will be 4 months. I think the worst part of it is that I was quoted 2 months. I can see being a little off, but 2+ months. I'll be lucky if I have mine on by the end of the month. :shakes head:

Jamaica 07-01-2010 11:13 PM

thats crazy man. I ordered mine and got it like two months weird huh?

I was told Venaci/Work finished the wheels in the wrong color, so they had to be sent back. Rick said he would hook me up with a good deal (not sure what that means at the moment). I guess I will be happy as long as they arrive in mint condition on my doorstep without shipping damage or any other unforeseen issues.

I just ordered some Work wheels and they told me 8 weeks. You guys are not helping my confidence at all. It sounds like I should expect it to arrive in October or something.

Jamaica 07-01-2010 11:38 PM

no worries. He gave me a great offset (which i forgot ) and it looks great. Everyone ask me what are those wheels. Trust me its worth the wait.

370Z JT 07-02-2010 02:03 AM

Kev,

man aren't you worried driving that low up front? looks bad as$ tho!
