as promised here are pics of your Z taken with my phone in very low light. I brightened them up some but still not the best quality.

I forgot about these.. A couple of weeks ago I was heading home for lunch and I happened to be riding right behind this.... Lady was in her late 30s with a pink ball cap on. I'm guessing her man is showing his apprecation for her performance in the bedroom. :icon17::icon17::icon17:

So we put my car back on the dyno this past weekend and figured out how to make adjustments to the tune however something was going on with my UpRev license. The flash rom would not let me upload. I guess I will be calling them after the holiday. Ugh!
Also we wripped apart a 600+ horsepower civic and started taking down an S2000 for a big turbo build. Both should be beasts when all done. |

Sounds like fun (the builds that is), hopefully the Uprev issue isn't too hard to get fixed.
|
It's been so long since I have updated this thread.
I'm still working on the tune. My tuner and I have had some issues with the Uprev software but I think we have it all worked out. I also got radar dector mount and invisicord. Both great products. I should have pictures up soon. 10,981 |

End of the year was really busy but I've been around. I haven't really spent much money on mods. Just saving. Can't decide if I want to go SC or buy another car that will be more track oriented.
|
the latter is probably a better option. you could go full steve-o, trade in the Z on a 5.0 and get an s2k for track :stirthepot:
|
Well, I'm back to modding. I took a while off trying to decide if I should should go ahead and buy an SC. In the end I spent some of the money on some none car related stuff but I did squeeze a few car parts in there. After we finish up tuning tomorrow, I have a bunch of work to do. I guess I will be busy this weekend.

We finished up some more of my custom tune yesterday. The base tune that UpRev sent is extremely rich. The injectors were at 100% above 5400 RPM. Basically I was dumping unneded fuel into engine. We smoothed everything out to 13.0 A/F. It took a while so we were unable to mess with the timing but I hope to gain a few more horses once we get some more time to strap her back down to the dyno. Below I have attached the dyno charts.
1) These two graphs (with and without A/Fs) my original dyno with FI exhaust only compared with the tuned car with all my bolt-ons (FI TDI CBX, FI LTH, and Stillen G3). I never got a complete baseline. I know I should have but I just couldn't help myself. I had to start modding asap. http://www.the370z.com/members/clems...w-air-fuel.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/clems...o-air-fuel.jpg Next chart represents the start of the day yesterday compared to the final numbers. So you can see the UpRev tune picked up about 15 hp and 11 ft/lbs from 4500 rpm up. I think this is the most telling dyno chart to show how beneficial a custom UpRev tune can be. Not to mention my gas mileage is going to be so much better. http://www.the370z.com/members/clems...e-same-day.jpg I am happy so far. But I think there is definitely more room to go when I get some more time for tuning. Should be putting the car up on jack stands today for more parts to be installed. 11,618 Mileage 9411 |
Here are some pics of the car on the dyno.

Did you get any SAE numbers?
|
No, I didn't. I could probably get them but it's not worth it. SAE will be slightly lower.

Nice
|
Nice! Can you feel the power difference from the tune? Also compared to stock and now your bolt on's, how was the power difference there?
|
Will that's great! Years ago I remember doing the poor man's tune on my big turbo SRT4 by running down the highway, pulling over, checking my data logger and making adjustments to keep a healthy 11.6 AFR. I had unlimited pulls just as long as I didn't get stopped...lol!
