Didn't you recently tell me to "gtfo" from another thread? :shakes head:

JB-370z 06-16-2010 08:41 PM

Sho did.
Edit: It still does not change the fact that we share a common interest and that I want to see more of this build. I will try not to be soo hard on ya anymore. When my thread goes up with my turbo build in a few weeks you can be the critic you are.

"you can be the critic you are"...

Exactly, saw that and decided to just not answer...

Anyway, Just got home from getting the SC tuned.

Keep in mind my baseline on this dyno with cool weather was 256whp....

Today, in 100F degree temps and with one small fan in front of the car...383whp. A modest gain of 127whp on a mustang dyno! In other words... about 430whp on a Dynojet like the one Stillen has. Easily 400/450whp with more airflow and cooler temperatures.

Stillen's claims for WHP gains are SPOT ON. No shenanigans here.

Oh yeah, peak boost with Stillen Headers and HFC's....8PSI, perfect, no pressure drop.

As far as the way it drives.....well I forgot it was there on the drive back. No noise, nothing really changes on the highway. Exhaust did get a good bit louder which is also exactly what I wanted. The closest thing I can think of as far as the sound it makes is a Gallardo, this thing is brutal.

Temperatures hovered at 200 degrees the entire ride back and actually went down when I want into the city, which was odd, but now that I think about it...that water pump is still pumping so it makes sense. When I got on it (~145mph and scary how quickly it got up there and how hard it was still pulling) it climbed up to around 215 degrees haha. After an hour of driving back at high speed and then doing some 2nd gear pulls in the city I parked it and popped the hood to check if anything had melted. Everything is perfect. Then I made the stupid decision to touch the intake pipe. ow..yeah, wont be doing that again, but then I touched the manifold down around the runners...felt like I'd been idling for an hour, relatively cool... I don't know what to say? Call me a fanboi, but when things work this well the first time out on their first kit, then I gotta put my humble hat on and say that is very very impressive.

I am very pleased with the kit and with Stillen's support throughout the build. I had one part come with a small scratch (probably from shipping) and when I told Josh, he had a new one overnighted to me that same day. Other than that....there were absolutely no problems with installation. I'll let Jnaut speak for himself as far as how easy it was to install, but he was impressed with the kit as well. No missing parts, no parts that didn't fit.

I leave you all with a teaser shot until later...more feedback coming.

And for good measure one of these. It might be a bit blurry until youtube finishes processing it.
