Even better -- I got them at wholesale through a contact and didn't have to pay sales tax!:tup:

For this next year I am going to throw on V12, and if I upgrade wheels next year I am really tempted to jump over to the RE-11 but if I stay stock wheels I am definitely trying the NT05.

semtex 04-28-2010 01:38 PM

V12? Not familiar with that one.

Hankook V12, they seem to be (on this forum), a solid alternative to the stock tires for those not looking for extra grip or performance. My car is still some what my daily driver, but I hope to have a second vehicle soon.

". . . not looking for extra grip or performance."

Sorry, string does not compute. Error. Error. Error.

I know, but some people on this forum want longer tire life with similar grip as stock while others want better grip and just say "tire life, what is that?"

semtex 04-28-2010 02:24 PM

You get both improved grip and tire life with PS2s. Treadwear is 220 vs. 140 on the RE-050s. But, alas, improving both at the same comes at a price, literally. PS2s don't come cheap.

Very true, will be looking forward to your review of this, both now and in the future on how they hold up over time.
How many miles did you put on the stock RE50s?

semtex 04-28-2010 02:39 PM

10.5k miles. The fronts are still good. It's the rears that are shot. I'm into the wear bars.

BTW, how much of a gain did you get with the LT's, Ben?

It's um . . . complicated. I posted the results here: http://www.the370z.com/intake-exhaus...vids-dyno.html

You are one DIE HARD enthusiast  Are you selling your Stillen CBE/Shorty Headers or are you keeping them around to see how the numbers turn up?

On the upside, I did have a nice little 'last blast' with the Z last week:
