Hey Trips, can you provide some longer term feedback on the Tanabe's? What are your thoughts on them at this point? How do you like them paired w/ the Hotchkis sways?

After close to 8k? on them I've had not one issue's other than typical creaks when its real cold outside. I have also noticed them to be a little on the soft side for my particular needs since I love canyon carving these are at there limits for me. I may move over to something with a higher spring rate like KW V3's or M7  I do recommend these for the guy who wants some budget performance coilovers. The coilovers go well with the Hotchkis bars but again I've not tried another set of sways to compare the difference. I hope it helped. :) |
Thanks Trips, repped!

It is a Mines replica add-on, I don't think UAM is in business anymore. You could get the original Mines add-on spoiler, i'm not sure if AreoJacket makes a rep or not.
|
I saw it on RHD Japan for $695 for a CF one. I'm praying the Yen just tanks...
|
You could get the CS add-on.

I haven't had anything NEW to add till NOW :)
Finally got around to insulating the intakes to hopefully help in lowering the air intake temps. I know the intakes would get extremely hot to the touch and so I can only hope this will help some. I also cleaned out both throttle bodies while I was at it. 29k And they needed some cleaning. Ordered it from Summit http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HSP-270212 The thermaflect sleeve slipped over the piping with the filter fine, But I had to customize the thermaflect sleeve piece nearest the intake as you can see why. I had to removed the sewed stitches off those pieces so I could add the cut outs for the both the mass sensor and the smog piping. Since I had no way to sew it back together I used aluminum metal tape to seal the seams that were once sewed. I think it came out pretty good, and like I said Im hoping the intake air temps will be a little lower with these thermaflect sleeves. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-m...0/IMG_0238.jpg https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-5...0/IMG_0239.jpg https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-o...0/IMG_0240.jpg |
Interesting, wonder if that helps to a noticeable affect
