It did look nice, but it looks A LOT better with the clear coat on IMO. :tup:

I'm curious about this. I spoke with a bodyshop today about getting a Matte Gray and the guy said he has a method which he incorporates a clear coat in order to protect the matte and prevent it from fading out.

I know this guy is on the ball and very honest from my dealings with him in the past, just curious if anyonje can shed some light on this?

There is a method to making a matte clear coat. I have read about it before but have since forgotten what it was. Matte paint without a clear will fade and be a pain to clean.

There is a clear for matte the bodyshop showed me two canS they needed to mix it. But I wanted shiny effect as matte gets dirty soon and difficult to clean. I used a special clearcoat which has more shine so atleast it will make any F40 owner think when I will ever park next to a Ferrari that Nissan paint quality is better lol

The shade is very light compares to OEM red and comparing two Nissan shade looks maroon
