New mod package for me!

I am currently shopping for a performance package to update the Camaro SS.

There is a $6,500 package that adds 100hp to the wheels.
- Parts
- Labor
- Install / Tune

Seems like a good deal.
But i'm open to suggestion.

Whacha think?

Modifications =
  • Intake manifold
  • CAI
  • Throttle body
  • Spark Plugs
  • Headers + hi-flow cats

From what I've seen here, between $2,000 and $30,000... sometimes both, for the same kit lol

If done by a good mechanic and tuned properly, that's a pretty good $/HP ratio. The factory has already picked all the low-hanging fruit.

Minus the tune and headers/cats (can't say because I've never looked at a Camaro that hard), wouldn't it be cheaper to install everything yourself?

Yes it would be cheaper, but they have the parts, they do the install, and do the tune for one decent price.

However, i've never done headers or intake manifold b4... just a lil nervous.

Seems expensive. Do it all yourself and save $3k. It's all very doable (literally bolt-ons) aside from the tune.

Lots more if you build the motor.

I haven’t researched much on the new common rail LT engines; other than they are more expensive to mod than the LS....just aren’t as many parts out there yet :ugh2:

I haven’t checked pricing; but you may be able to add a Pro-Charger at a reasonable price
Also Vengeance Racing has their package lineup’s listed to stay N/A :wtf2:
