It has grub screws on the tube ends so you can clean it out if needed.

Edit. We are going to put little “angle spacers” behind the gauge faces to kick them up a bit toward the driver.

The whole dash will be installed with rivnuts and button head hex screws so as to be removable (for follow on mods or just maintenance). Also that’s just cool and fun I think. Maybe cam locks.

Off to ceramic coating

1800 degree dark silver on the exhaust and intake manifolds and the long exhaust tube.

1800 degree black ceramic on the heat shield. (It might get some additional “gold foil” stuff on it if my carbs and intake manifold get too much heat soak coming off the exhaust manifold)

That’s a thing for another day.

Anyhow here’s a “before pic”. The shop is busy so…. Two weeks?

The gauge trio sits too high for my eye. We’re going to mill it down a bit more flush.
