Slow n steady transformation with my 2009 Sport package. Purchased Feb of 2014 with only 4700 miles on it, has 19000 on it to date.

We've done autoflex in gloss black on the roof, and wheels, but it needed something unique. I've always loved the Z heritage color of orange, so we set out to do something in the neighborhood of orange, with a twist on it.

This is a new product, called Pro Line by DipYourCar. Aimed to be between the old school dip that started this trend, and AutoFlex that premium stuff thats out there for OEM quality finish that can be machine polished, cut and buffed etc. Pro Line is sprayed through a compressor in a paint booth, so it is not really a DIY product.

Not done yet, but mirrors, door handles etc, peel the Nissan badge coming together soon.

Work was done by Dynamic Auto Art off the NYS Thruway in Kingston. Site is here:

The quality is amazing, they did meticulous prep on it, and I was amazed with the result.

I'll post more pictures as they finish putting the car back together.

Looks fantastic. How much did it run? (If you don't mind my asking)

He has posted pricing here, to give you a general idea:
Dynamic Auto Art - Fully Reversible Protective Coatings

I can't really speak to my specific project costs, because it is a mix of products. The wheels and roof are done in Autoflex gloss. The car itself, is done in a new product called Pro Line that is not publicly available yet, so I got lucky.

I would imagine that Pro Line will be priced between old school PlastiDip and AutoFlex.

@jayhovah autoflex would be around $1500 for a whole car to have it done by a pro (in the NC/SC/GA area. FL might be cheaper). if you have a nice compressor, spray gun, and a place to do it, my estimate, based on the dipyourcar site, is about $500-600 for supplies (including tape, masking paper, etc). If you are planning on going DIY the thing to know is that the final clear coat takes a while to dry and you will want to keep it somewhere clean, for fear of contaminants landing on it while drying.

Thanks for the info! I DIY dipped my 2011 and plan to do my 2013 (perhaps this summer)... Wish I had the tools and space to DIY autoflex or proline.

your dip job looks great. good job laying it down smoothly.

i am thinking about rigging a paint booth out of PVC and plastic for my garage and having a go at the autoflex stuff. seems super versatile, and i love that the gloss paint can be buffed, waxed, etc. dreaming of something with a bit of pearl in it...

Sounds like the right track. With the biggest variable being the pearls you're going to use, either in AF or whatever the product is.

For example, before going with Burnt Copper Alloy, I was leaning towards OEM blaze metallic (orange) on the 2017 GTR. The oem color pearls for that would have been hundreds of dollars. So it depends on what kind of package you're trying to put together.

Maybe you could use something like this to DIY a paint booth?
