edzilla123 05-05-2016 12:22 AM

the night was a success, the lines for the rear are lined up and ready to be cut on both sides, I will be cutting 18-20 mm down from the body line in the rear quarter panelhttp://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps8szfqth9.jpghttp://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps5fezxnka.jpghttp://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...psd3q69qpi.jpg

edzilla123 05-05-2016 12:23 AM

Where the rear bumper attaches to the body i will be cutting around it to attempt to keep it as an attachment point

edzilla123 05-08-2016 12:00 PM

Did a little project i have been procrastination for a while now. dual oil catch cans. http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps6fmx7djk.jpg

edzilla123 05-13-2016 01:16 AM

For the DIY'ers out there the picture go in order of my cuts
Cut:1 i cut just bellow where the bumper meets the body to keep the mount for the bumper. as well the top most line was first cut do to the unknown as to where the body met the inner fender well
http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...psxvkgf3vb.jpg
Cut 2: i cut an inch or so down just so i can look behind the body to determine where the body met the well.
http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...pspaenak18.jpg
Cut 3: i determined the perfect line to follow to cut was the width of electrical tape that is where you will eventually need to cut the well at.
http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...pso79wzmox.jpg
Cut 4: not finished in the picture but right above the blue tape is where i will be cutting the well to finish the cutting.

Wheels specs are final! 19x13 -25 and in front 19x10.5 -23! 7 inch lip in back with -2 degrees of camber

edzilla123 05-25-2016 02:28 PM

So after contacting both bulletproof and aimgain about the front fitment issuse i have made no progress. they say all i need to do is go to a shop and have them doing it for you. they are stating that when making them they come out longer then they are supposed to. SO if you get the aimgain flares be prepared for this perfect fitment in front. not happy with this 2500 dollar "high quality" product. http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps4vagdxkx.jpghttp://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...psoxh1xpb1.jpg

Wiggins3377 05-25-2016 03:53 PM

you could always buy the Aimgain bumper from me for one hell of a price and sell you current bumper to make up for it!!!!

In all seriousness, this is good info for any potential aimgain buyers out there.

My car is relatively low and it slides under it. and if you get 4 1 by 8 pieces of wood to drive up on youd be golden. I have the carbon side blades that give me an issue since they are so low but whatever. 24in in 30 seconds its the coolest tool ive ever invested in and super safe and you can battery power it for the race track:happydance::happydance::happydance:

Just some advice on the front bumper gaps; right stuff spray foam and fiberglass. You should be able to tape everything off, then use the expanding foam, sand and smooth out the shape you want, then fiberglass over that. Pop out the piece and you'll have your gaps filled. I've done it many times to fill gaps and it works perfectly.

:confused::icon14:

fiberglass mafia is looking better and better after seeing this

what a shame

OptionZero 01-19-2017 11:07 AM

Seems like the issue isn't fitment, its the front bumper choice. The thread starter choose not to use the AIMGAIN front bumper - that is why there is a gap.

If you look at dom_zee's car (the baby blue AIMGAIN z34), you'll see what the front flare extends that far - its to match the length and slope of their front bumper

If you want to use that OEM front bumper with those flares, take it to a shop and have them chop off that forward section and custom a new attachment that matches the lines

o snap you are correct

time to buy an aimgain bumper

OptionZero 01-19-2017 12:19 PM

Wiggins had one stateside (local, too IIRC) - i never understood why the Op didn't just buy that and be done with it instead of fussing about fitment issues

leatherface24 02-15-2017 12:04 AM

Any progress on this?

edzilla123 03-06-2017 10:47 PM

So here is where it stands all done for the time being! ill post the progress later!

Awesome work!

Kingbaby 03-17-2017 01:59 AM

Nice outcome...

Doesn't have the RWB feel but the end result is awesome none the less

WildWestDrift 05-31-2018 05:48 PM

I would like to bring this thread back to life;

what was the end result of the front bumper - front over fender fitment issue?

I would like to do the same kit myself without using the aimgain front bumper.

Zbrah 05-31-2018 06:09 PM

That’s an oem Nismo front bumper, not aimagain

brandon3434 06-10-2018 09:05 PM
