Alpine's Nismo Street/Track/Drift Build

Recently picked up my 09 Nismo from a local seller down here in Miami. I previously owned a 06 s2000 which I traded straight for the nismo, and prior to that I had a Turbo BRZ. I plan to keep the Nismo a fairly simple build good for street with tracking and drifting in mind. I'm going to try and keep the pictures nice with DSLR photos depending whether or not I can get my hands on one to shoot with.

Current Modifications:
GT-R Start Button
Weathertech Floormats
Personal Steering Wheel
Works Bell Standard Hub
Tomei Expreme Ti Exhaust
Megan Y-pipe
Tomei 70mm Shift Knob
Black / Silver Headlight Paint

(Not Installed)
Custom Recaro Pole Position

Planned Modifications:
Enkei NT03+M 18x10.5 +30 in Mag Blue (Maybe)
Enkei RS05-RR
Gram Lights 57dr
HKS Hipermax GT Coilovers / Tein Mono/Street Flex
2015 Nismo Front Bumper / Amuse Front Bumper
LED's All Around
Project Kics Lug Nuts

carlitos_370z 06-16-2015 07:02 AM

Awesome dude!!!! BTW if you are going to buy the 18" Enkei wheels dont sell your Nismo wheels hahaha!!! they looks really good... and if you are going to sell you Nismo front bumper to change them for the 2015 Nismo haha! sell me that one to me :p

I wholeheartedly agree that 19s look better but the way my bank account is set up for drifting / Track tire funds I'll be needing the savings on 18 inch tires rather than 19s.

Haha I don't plan on selling any of my stock parts, I always have resale in mind when I think about something like that.

One of my ideas brought to life thanks to photoshop, Just messing around and still deciding what to do the stock wheels have plenty of grip to hold me over.

Been having a few issues with the car lately. My a/c compressor has decided to die, CSC is on it's way out, and while trying to change out a bad O2 sensor in the header I stripped the bung out. So with that being said mods are being put on hold for a little. However I did get a chance to do an almost free mod which is baking my headlights and painting the insides black! This to me was a HUGE improvement on the exterior aesthetics of the car. Which makes me a little happy after all the bad news I've been getting from the car.

Trust me... if i go in my vacations to Miami... I will go with my headlights to paint them hahahaha!!

370Ztune 06-29-2015 05:00 PM

Headlights look great!! Hope you can get the other issues sorted out painlessly.

Alpine 07-02-2015 02:04 PM

New header and 02 sensor have been put on.. The new AC compressor goes on tomorrow. CSC is ordered along with a new Nissan Badge for my front bumper is my previous pictures you can see the one I have does not fit. Also I got my Tomei Shift Knob installed and realized how terrible it is by itself. So I ordered a Z1 Finisher and that comes tomorrow. When it does I'll throw a picture up of it.

carlitos_370z 07-02-2015 02:52 PM

NICE DUDE!!! ALMOST DONE

FairladyZ10PG 07-02-2015 04:21 PM

I completely agree with the blacked out headlights having a huge impact on the exterior. As soon as I got mine done, my gf & I were both in agreement that it should have been done sooner :)

370Ztune 07-02-2015 06:35 PM

Didn't even notice the badge was off center at first. That would drive me nuts!

Little update: Tomei Shift Knob installed, got my compressor replaced. Replaced my o2 and stripped the slot on the header for it so I had to get a new OEM header. Replaced it, drove 30 miles and the CEL came back. SO now I have to figure out what the cause of that is.

Alpine 07-19-2015 12:29 PM

Little bit of drifting action. I plan on getting tuned next, then wheels and tires. I will say drifting on the stock tires is quite a challenge they are very grippy.

Alpine 08-02-2015 11:35 PM

REAL UPDATE ALERT!

Lol, I installed my coils today which has been the biggest pain in the *** compared to any other car that I have owned. I guess it only made sense since I've already had so many other little problems occur in the mean time. With that being said I didn't have time to adjust ride height so it is what it is for now. Here is the two pictures I got of it for now.

Raised the car up in the front today and dropped it in the rear a hair so it looks a little more level and drivable. I'll try and get some DSLR pics this weekend for you guys :)

Dcocci 08-04-2015 09:17 PM

are you experiencing any scraping with the Tomei now that you're low? I'm thinking of getting the full catback but it looks like the muffler hangs looowwww. Car looks great btw!

Thanks buddy, and so far so good on the scraping. My rear is actually a little higher to compensate for it. My old BRZ hung even lower that was a nightmare.
