What camera are you running? Great vids of the runs and congrats on the personal best!

Nice driving brother! You are definitely getting better. Your inputs are smother and your car control is noticeably better. Keep up the good work!:tiphat:

AlWakRa 02-19-2019 06:45 AM

Thanks Bob, the switch to normal street tires played a part, as it punishes you when you make mistakes, this time I was focusing on my braking as I wanted to get it later but smoother.

Also, I made an order on MCA Reds with 21kg front and 7kg rear, true type coilovers. :stirthepot: I will order later SPL rear toe link and front tie rod to complete my spl catalogue :yum:

Right on! Keep it up and can't wait to hear your opinion on the MCA coilovers. SPL FTW!!!

Received them last Sunday, I was out of town until today, I will install them next week, I expect SPL toe arm and front tie rod to arrive on Saturday.

With these I am ready to install the new coilovers, I have found the unused spl eccentric lock kit bolts. Also, MCA recommended to use stock sway bars with their coilovers, as they are very stiff.

Also, I have caliper rebuild kit for all 4 calipers.

Work is going on, I want to be ready for next trackday on March 21st. Is there anybody interested in a comparison between r888r and sur4g? Although they are different sizes, toyos being 265/35/18 - 295/30/18 and nexens are 275/40/18 square? I may be able to use the toyos from a friend.

Officially a true type user :icon17: I found some parts missing from the sway bar, so I will need to see how to get them quickly, also, I found out that I am using the car with a damaged endlink, front right, it seems it was damaged by the accident I had two years before and the mechanic, who I will not go to him anymore, didn't realize it is damaged, I will go to stock endlinks for now, I was going to say I have full SPL catalogue but the endlink spoiled the party.

Looks great. I've been eyeballing the MCAs since you posted them.

Looking good my friend. I think you will find the Nexen's a better choice over the Toyos. Eagle on here runs the Nexens and he is very fast.

I am more excited to try it, a lot of positive reviews I read before I bought it, and their price was fantastic for a full custom coilovers, also the guys was very responsive and know their stuff. Hopefully they live to their reputation.

Yeah, I hate r888rs with a passion :rofl2: Nexens were great, very consistent and doesn't get greasy at all, but re71r being the best I ran until now (that response and grip in your first two laps). I may get BFG R1-S for AutoX, and will try them at the track as well, sub 20 lap is closer than ever.

Hotrodz 03-13-2019 07:02 PM

Right on, I have done several track day with Rival S and they are a good tire and put down some good times on the Miata. I know they are really popular with auto x guys. I just put a brand new set of Maxxis Victoria RC-1 on the Miata and I am anxious to see how they do weekend after next.

Yeah, Rivals are great, R1Ss are even greater, it is up there with Hoosier A7 :happydance:
