Okay cool, I'll put something together tonight and post it up. I was leaning more towards Superman to begin with and it sounds like most of you were as well so it will be for that.

b1adesofcha0s 06-05-2013 12:17 PM

Superman in IMAX! I've never seen anything in IMAX before. Wondering if it's any better than the XD we watched for Fast and Furious.

I saw Star Trek in IMAX 3D. I think overall IMAX is a little bit better, but the XD screen was pretty good.

b1adesofcha0s 06-05-2013 12:36 PM

I think either is a must for action movies.

IMAX I feel has superior sound quality, but they are comparable.

Regardless, this is correct: movies that demand good sound/video require one or the other, IMHO.

Just so you all know I'm aiming for XD or IMAX but no 3D. I can't do the 3D it gives me major migraines...

I'd rather see this one in regular D. 3D really doesn't add much to the experience for me, other than making me feel uncomfortable for the first 20 minutes while I adjust.

Watching you "adjust" makes everyone else uncomfortable too

:iagree: Especially when we are wearing 3D glasses!

b1adesofcha0s 06-05-2013 04:07 PM

I may be out then. I wanted to see it in 3D.

ZCarMan 06-05-2013 04:30 PM

I just saw that Z1 has posted the video for the 2012 Z Nationals. For those who have never attended this is a good way to see what its all about. Many of the people who attend ZDayZ also attend Z Nationals but many others show up as well. I saw Al's late "Chiana" in the video as well as Tony's Z (which took 1st in show for 370Zs). I plan to go in October if all works out. The track event is taking place at Barber again this year. I really enjoyed that track!

What's the easiest way to tow a car down there without mounting a tow hook on another car? Are there like rentable reasonably priced auto transports? I mean I wouldn't want to rent a u-haul truck that I wouldn't use and an auto trailer.

ZCarMan 06-05-2013 06:24 PM

Short of renting a truck with a trailer attached you could spend the really big bucks to have it transported by a specialty executive transport service, but I've never seen anyone do that at Z Nats. I have only seen a few who have trailered their Zs to Z Nats and they usually have their own truck and trailer. Most drive their Zs from as far away as California.

I suppose you could rent a pickup from a dealer that rents as many do and tow it on a trailer that way.

For those that were not able to make it to either Skyline run, we got him at Texas Roadhouse... ...again.

Enjoy! :stirthepot:

After that, the waiter from the first time came over and said "hey man didn't I get you with this last time? You got some messed up friends". :roflpuke2::roflpuke2::roflpuke2:

Looks and sounds interesting, direct competitor to the Ariel Atom??

Are they even being sold in the USA, saying it's a street car doesn't mean we'll see one here. :(

As far as I know it isn't sold anywhere. He mentions in the video begging ford to make one. I know I want one.

I'd guess at least 50-60k. But ya never know, and we probably never will, sadly.

I'd predict at least 3 wrecks on the first corner that involved a high speed lift, anyway lol.

It's Here

MAZOC.NET Website Launch

All, I’m proud to announce that we finally have an official website. After creating the group almost four years ago I’ve watched it grow from a small group of 370Z owners to a much larger group of past and present 370Z owners, their families, and their friends. As a result of our growth over the years I decided it was finally time to make our club a little more official by giving us our own identity on the web.

Those of you that have known me for a while and helped out with club activities know that I am not fond of excessive structure. I believe it takes the fun out of what we do and have always been hesitant to add more beyond what we have on the forum. However, with growth, some structure is necessary, and it comes in the form of a membership registry.

Membership Registry

The biggest change coming with the new website is a brand new membership structure. All current MAZOC members are asked to complete the Membership Application on the “Membership” page of the website. I want to stress that the information you provide will NOT be shared with any third party -- it will be kept private and secure.

After a couple weeks to give everyone time to register, I will assign all members a membership number based on the order in which all members joined the forum. This will be the most effective way to approximate the seniority of MAZOC members. Those who joined the forum earlier will have lower membership numbers, and those that joined later will have higher numbers. Once membership numbers have been assigned I will mail you an Official Membership Card with your name and membership number on the back. The cards are currently in print, so as long as they arrive as I expect there should be no delay in getting them out once the initial registration period ends.

Why a Membership Card? Well, these are necessary to prove your membership in order to receive your vendor discounts. I am currently working with a number of local vendors to secure discounts on parts and services for our club members. There will be more details on this at a future date.

Once we have all of our current members registered, I would like to maintain a public list of members and their vehicles on the website. Each with their own spotlight profile page. This is something that will come later.

Members will also receive the current password to any password protected pages.

General Content

The website will be updated to include recaps of meets with photos/video, details on upcoming meets, and eventually detailed features on member cars. As it sits right now, there are a number of "filler" posts to occupy the rotating header image.

MAZOC Web Store

Another exciting addition is our new web store. Hosted and serviced by Spreadshirt, members have access to a variety of high-quality MAZOC-branded apparel and accessories. With the help of a few “beta” members we have placed some test orders from the web store to verify quality. Until we receive these orders and give the all clear, PLEASE DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING.

I would also like to point out that, with Spreadshirt, I have the ability to sell products at no commission. This means that MAZOC does not make a single penny on any product sold. Members get their merchandise at the lowest possible cost. Aside from encountering tax complications, it’s just the right thing to do.

Event Calendar

So that no one has to ask “where is the meet this weekend?” ever again, we now have a calendar available in the “Events” menu on the website. All weekly meets and special events will be found on this calendar.

Rules

I did have to create some official rules for the group. As you can see, they are very simple.

Forum

When posting a new thread on the forum, if it is MAZOC related, I ask that everyone please tag the thread [MAZOC] for easy identification.

Just went to register and it treats the "If no, what do you drive?" and "Who referred you?" questions as required fields no matter what.
