Anyone know of any chrome shops around? I need one that will do black chrome on my sport wheels.

1. So the silver piece you plasti dipped is actually removable? Easily?

2. I feel the same way which is why I haven't done mine.

3. Yes, definitely get them painted. I think plasti dip is good for giving you the idea of what a certain color looks like without having to actually commit to it. I personally don't like how poor plasti dip looks with a little wear and dirt. Good for temporary solution, bad for long term.

The piece was easy for me to remove. I just grabbed it by the top and bottom with my three fingers, squeezed a little and pulled (no comments from the MAZOC gallery!) and it popped off in my hand. You just need to make sure the led plastic cover pieces stay in the dash.

I'll probably find a good paint/powder coater shop to take care of the handles.

Yeah, Im in the same boat as you, I'm gonna get my door handles painted.. you should check out my tail lights, they're not "blacked" out or tinted, but they were custom painted a REALLY nice blood colored red.. I think you'd like it.

I'll take a look at them next time I see your Z.

Trouble is any tint/paint/etc on the tail lights in VA is illegal.

That sucks, but at least I can buy high cap mags for my AR, carry my 1911, Glock or just about anything I want in this state, so if I can't paint my tail lights, I guess I'm ok with that.

Kind of why I posted it.

That's the only place I could find as well. I may have to go there. My issue with them is that its a powder coat and not actually the chromeplating. Not a huge deal and I could live with it if it was $300 a wheel. For that I may as well go buy stock black chrome ES2.2.2 wheels =/
