Google Maps says the JW Marriott is right around the corner, and the Hotel Figueroa & Luxe City Center Hotel arent much farther.

A suggestion for a future sight for MAZOC BBQ . Sight has shelter for up to 100 people, 2 fire places stocked with 2 cords of wood, horse shoe pits, corn-hole games, 3 grills, cost is 30.00 for a weekend day. It's MD State Park Swallow Falls that features campsites, cabins, swimming, water falls, free 1 hr canoe/kayak for those who stay overnight. Plus there are cabins at nearby Herrington Manor State Park that are fully equippedhttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/09...c1c2dc7dd1.jpg. Also learned that local MD State Trooper Barracks is a "Food Drop-Off" for poor. If we all meet there & donate can goods, MD Troopers will give a escort to MAZOC MEMBERS to BBQ site ! Hey lets step up to the plate and get some MAZOC RECOGNITION ! It's far I know, cabins at Herrington Manor are sweet! Reservations can be made a year in advance. And the best part are the mountain roads to drive your Z on! "Go Local in Mid Atlantic States"!

That's really awesome. Good find. Think I want to set something up for next fall for the PCA. Thanks!

b1adesofcha0s 09-10-2015 09:25 AM

Sounds like a an awesome place, but wayyyyy to far for a MAZOC BBQ. It would be a 3 hr+ drive one way for me.

jpkirk 09-10-2015 09:42 AM

We could make it a weekend. Camp for those who want to camp, Cabins for those who don't. I have a nephew about an hour away in Keyser WV. Could visit him and his wife on the way there or back.

eastwest2300 09-10-2015 10:21 AM

gas prices.

Herrington Manor State Park connects to Swallow Falls State Park. The cabins at Herrington Manor are 1st Class; 2 - 4 - 6 person cabins. Full kitchens & baths, each stocked with cord of firewood, porch, porch swing, grills. It's a 3-1/2 hour drive for me from Baltimore. It is about 2900 feet elevation, and snow does happen often from late November to end February. Herrington Manor open year round and is a few miles from Deep Creek Lake, Wisp Ski Resort & Golf Course.http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/09...8da4f47977.jpg

Free 1hour canoe or kayak use per day for cabin renters.

Ok. I will call you tomorrow. I had submitted a request for "Overtime" Saturday but so far that wasn't approved . I will know tomorrow when they release the following days work schedule if I'm getting any "OT" or not.

Thats a long drive...

Isnt crazy how flat the landscape is heading west through the plains, then you hit I-25 which runs south and north then its a plateau of mountain ranges.. I love it man.

It actually wasn't nearly as flat as I remember Iowa being. Gorgeous drive the entire way to be honest, much less boring than Iowa. I remember when I first started to see the mountains come into view, was an amazing experience. Could see them from so far away.

I just remember driving through kansas on my way to colo. springs, stopping to get gas and noticing how eerily quiet it was.. I would love to find my way back to colorado.
