More than that probably. Probably closer to 400-500.

Holy hell, so I'm in a conference the week leading up to carlisle (that I can't get out of ) and was trying to avoid having to garage the car so I figured I'd hire someone to do the full paint correction thing the day before the show instead of doing it myself. Guy wanted $450.

Looks like I'll be doing it myself. I think I'm in the wrong business.

If you don't have to break the demon bolts, it's easy. If you do...just pay someone.

yea i'm probably not gonna make it to carlisle :shakes head:

sister's college graduation that saturday and i really cant bring myself to skip it for a car show that'll be there next year. plus zdayz is the following week and thats the real Z show to go to lol

dmhenderson 04-10-2014 09:55 AM

I'll be in one of the barns anyway. I don't even know if anyone else is planning on coming. If anyone is, I'll split time between the barn and the tents and if not, I'll make due on my own.

I'll just do the detail job the week before and garage the car for the week prior. I actually enjoy doing it but I don't want it to get f'ed up prior to the shows.

It may feel faster, but the posted 0-60 times on line indicate that they are all wrong. I guess the butt dyno isn't working so well for them. :icon17:

I wasn't saying they were slow, or boring, just that you guys go to a VTAK forum to discuss those cars. It was all in good fun, but feel free to join VTAK.jibberjabberslowly.com

MightyBobo 04-25-2014 11:06 PM

Speaking of cars being faster, after digging around eBay, I cant help but feel that a C5 Z06 is a stupid good bargain right now.

MightyBobo 04-28-2014 07:51 PM

Winning.

So...anyone want to help me install my oil cooler? (By help, I mean host, provide tools, and supervise.) It's been holding my stack of wheels down more than long enough.

eastwest2300 04-29-2014 01:02 PM

Sorry, but I will not be available to assist before ZDayZ. Good luck getting it installed!

I'm taking mine in to AAM to get it prepped for ZDayZ. I have no tools/space so I get to let someone take my money. Hopefully someone can help with the install though.

aniceh 04-29-2014 08:19 PM

Yeah, never mind, I'll just take it somewhere and have it done.

You Bet! Fifth consecutive trip. MAZOC is also volunteering staff for Thursday's registration, which gets our logo on the ZDayZ shirt.

You going?

Sorry, I forgot to message you back on FB. I can provide the garage and an eye, if you'd like. Just pick a day with good weather, my car is finally clean and I dont feel like getting it all covered in water spots :-p

dmhenderson 04-30-2014 08:57 AM

I'm bad at this sort of thing but I would be happy to lend a hand assuming you have someone else telling me what to do.

oil cooler is a pretty easy install. only tough part is when running the lines through the passenger side of the bumper/dust shield area.

mounting is pretty straight forward. also the sandwich plate is simple as well.

took me like a hour i think with beer breaks.

This weekend? :D I'm due for an oil change, so I'm trying to coordinate the two.

I think that could work.

And if anyone knows anyone who might want to buy a used kit, give me a yell. I may be selling soon.

I'm sooo glad I got this kit. I read and re-read the oil cooler threads and was almost unable to make a decision (which is really a decision not to buy in effect). I got tired of being a mobile fry-daddy, so I took the plunge and now oil temps are no longer an issue. No more nagging worries about having to back off the throttle because of oil temps.

Then there is this:
http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/01/uvenyta5.jpg

Plenum and HFCs are waiting for install. Area Z shops are a bit backed-up, but soon I'll be able to pass the neighbor's '70 L48 quicker than a 7 layer burrito.
